We’re honored to join the M&T Bank and Prince George’s County Economic Development accelerator cohort. This opportunity will bring valuable learning, mentorship, and connections to help strengthen our business and support sustainable growth.

We’re also proud to recognize Danny Blount, a veteran, community leader, devoted son, and father who stepped into the role of caregiver for his father, a proud Korean War veteran. Danny’s story reminds us that caregiving is love in action: showing up, honoring someone’s dignity, and being there when it matters most.

Fall Prevention Tips for a Safer Home.

At Faithlinks Services, your safety and independence are our priority. Falls can happen to anyone, but many falls can be prevented by making a few simple changes at home and staying aware of potential hazards.

1. Keep your home safe- cut down on clutter
2. Wear safe footwear- wear well fitting shoes. Avoid walking in socks with no grip.
3. Move carefully- take your time when getting out of bed or standing up from a chair.
4. Review medication- talk to your healthcare provider or pharmacist about your medications and any side effects.
5. Stay active- regular, appropriate physical activity can help maintain strength and balance
6. Pay extra attention to the bathroom- bathrooms can become slippery and are a common place for falls. Consider using jean bars near toilet and in the shower or tub.
7. Ask for help!!!

Did you know, Dementia and Alzheimer’s caregiving may be available to you or your loved one at No cost through Medicare?

FaithLinks Services is proud to help families access the GUIDE Program a Medicare initiative that funds:

✅ In-home or facility companion care
✅ Respite care for family caregivers
✅ Ongoing dementia progression support
✅ No cost to clients or families

Eligible individuals can also receive a $2,500 annual stipend, renewable every year.

To qualify, you must:
• Have a dementia or Alzheimer’s diagnosis
• Be enrolled in traditional Medicare Part A & B (not Medicare Advantage)
• Not be on hospice or living long-term in a skilled nursing facility
