BTS from one of those jobs where my wardrobe rack had to become its own ecosystem 😭😂 I had the pleasure of working as the Fashion Stylist on this project, styling the dancers, extras and vixens and let me tell you, there were PEOPLE. 😂 The fun part about a project like this is that you’re not just putting clothes on bodies. You’re building different worlds within the same visual story. For one group, we went colourful, youthful and playful—very Gen Z, energetic and made to move. Then we switched gears completely and entered our goth era 🖤 darker looks, attitude, texture and a completely different energy for both the male and female performers. Then, of course, came the vixens and all the other characters that helped bring the visual world together. So yes, I was sourcing. I was fitting. I was coordinating. I was adjusting. I was making sure people could actually MOVE in what they were wearing. I was making sure each group looked like they belonged to the same production while still having their own visual identity. Because styling for a music video isn’t just about finding “nice outfits.” You have to understand the characters, the movement, the energy, the camera, the colour story and how every single person contributes to the final frame. And this set had plenty of frames 😭😂 Big love to the entire team for trusting me with this one. It was beautiful chaos, plenty of people, plenty of clothes and plenty of work but seeing everything come together? Always worth it. Mid last month, as Workers’ Day approached, the director sent me a brief for the brand film “Through the Ranks” from Food Concepts PLC. The film was designed to spotlight employees who have grown within the company, rising from entry-level roles to advanced managerial positions. From the start, we knew we wanted the story to begin from a very human place. Something intimate. The idea was to take each employee back to the exact moment they got promoted for the first time. As they shared that memory, something special happened. Everyone on set could feel it, the excitement, the pride, the breakthrough. For a moment, we weren’t just filming a story. We were reliving it with them. It was an amazing experience bringing this film to life, and I’m proud we were able to create something authentic and emotionally engaging. I’ve heard people talk about crossing continents by any means possible but I never really sat with what that journey truly feels like. Not until last year, when I had the opportunity to produce a documentary telling the stories of young Nigerian migrants. This story tore at my heart. Trafficking disguised as opportunity. What sometimes starts as one flight out of the country quickly turns into an unimaginable, unsafe journey that many are never prepared for. It’s truly beautiful to see IOM helping bring them back home, and in partnership with Midea, giving them a real chance to start again. Being a part of this project meant a lot for me. It made the issue feel less distant, less like headlines, and more like lived truths that are raw and personal. It was a reminder of the responsibility we carry as storytellers, to shed light, to humanize, and to spark conversations that matter.
