“Blossom by Faith Touré!” - @byfaithtoure by @omagudidit , 2024Had the opportunity to chat with @faithtoure before her upcoming event this weekend. All I can say is, proud is an understatement! What’s in store for the girls this Saturday is absolutely incredible to say the least! The labor, intentionality, and love you’ve poured into this event will be felt throughout the DMV! It’s a beautiful thing to travel to another country and experience their culture, but it’s even better when you can go and lend a helping hand. During our time in Cabo San Lucus, Mexico we teamed up with @loscaboschildren and volunteered at “Grupo Ramé”, one of their 28 partnering programs.Grupo Ramé was founded in 2019 to provide adolescents with cognitive disabilities with a space to develop skills related to various trades. It is their hope that this will provide them with the opportunity to access employment and sustain an income in the future, all while developing independence throughout their life. It was such a joy to be at Grupo Ramé, interacting with the beautiful souls that are enrolled in the program. Our day consisted of us working on various craft projects that the children would eventually sell to the community in order to earn a profit. We watched as each child worked independently on their crafts and completed tasks that many may deem them incapable of handling. We laughed, danced, ate lunch together and learned from their dedicated staff about the impactful work of the organization. Grupo Ramé is just one of the organizations @loscaboschildren helps supports here in Baja California Sur region of Mexico. Please consider donating to @loscaboschildren to change the world, one child at a time.
