That one “yes” to follow Jesus has begotten many yeses —some of which have been wildly uncomfortable for me (case in point😭). But nevertheless, not my will 🙏🏾…So here I am, fully and humbly at His service.

This is my worship —an act of obedience.

Welcome to Faith With Intent!

I’m excited to see what God does with this yes 🙌🏾

We will be yapping lots about following Jesus, With Intent —
👉🏾being intentional about our faith
👉🏾growing in our relationship with God
👉🏾and walking confidently in our Kingdom Purpose

I’ll be sharing things I’ve learned on my walk and during my studies, insights from some of my favorite mentors and pastors, things that I’m reading/have read…and whatever else the Lord puts on my heart (and I hope y’all will share too!🤗).

I don’t have all the answers, and I also don’t know exactly what is coming next, but I’m excited to learn and grow on this journey of @faithwithintent with y’all, if you’re coming along.💕

I got quieter, He got louder🙏🏾

This season reminded me:
- It all actually is that deep
- He always is working behind the scenes
- Prayer works
- Being busy with His work is different than being busy tryna make people happy
- Rest is part of the plan
- It’s all better than imagined it could be

When we look at Jesus’ life, everything happened in God’s perfect timing.

There was a set time for Him to begin ministry, to perform miracles, to send the disciples, to teach in private, to speak publicly, to be arrested, to go to the cross, and to send the Holy Spirit.

None of it was random…every step, place, conversation, and miracle was intentional.

The same is true for us. When we stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit and walk in obedience, God leads us with intent and precision.

His timing prepares, equips, and positions us for the purpose HE has called us to.

Waiting can feel slow and frustrating. But we can place our faith in Him and trust that His timing is never off.

I’ve learned this lesson the hard way many of times but His timing is perfect and our “rush” is never needed or helpful 🫠

Submitting to His Will requires us to follow His ways (which are better than ours) and trust in His timing (which is also better than ours).

🗣️Let Him cook🙌🏾

PT @toureroberts reminded us that purpose can feel disruptive…God often calls us beyond our limits and comfort zones… drawing us into a deeper dependence on Him to accomplish what He’s called us to do. Not by might, nor by power, but by HIS Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).

When we feel the shaking or the stretching… right in the middle of where God has called us… we can recognize that He’s moving. It might be positioning, pruning, or purging… but whatever comes next, we can trust He’ll be on the other side.🙏🏾

So the next time we find ourselves in the midst of a divine shaking… we can posture our hearts to be expectantly curious rather than fearful, resistant, or upset… knowing that God will use this part of the story to reveal His glory through us. 🙌🏾

✨Pay attention: What is it producing in you? Around you?👀 When God is on the move, it may not feel good in the moment… but we know it ends good 🙌🏾And that is something we can be excited about. ✨

Success is found in our obedience. Not in an outcome.

The outcome is up to God…and sometimes it’s not what WE would expect. But when are moving in obedience, it will be what HE needs.

We can place our own expectations or ideas of success on something God calls us to do. And when we do the thing, and it doesn’t look how we expect, we can get discouraged or feel like we failed in our assignment.

We said what God told us to say to someone, and we didn’t see them run to Jesus. Did we fail? Did we mess up? 👀

Or did we attach our own outcome to an act of obedience? Where we expected to inspire an immediate transformation, God desired a seed to be planted.

Obedience is success. The outcome is a God problem. 🙏🏾

📖 1 Corinthians 3:5-9
“What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.”

🙏🏾Lord, help us to make room in our heart and our lives for you to show us who YOU say we are. And what YOU would have us to do with our time here.

Give us your eyes for us.

Help us to lay down any of our plans that aren’t aligned. Free us from any anxieties, doubts, insecurities, fears, and hurt that would stand in the way of us seeing ourselves or you clearly.

May we rest in surrender to what you have said. 🙏🏾

Peter Drucker once said,“Show me your calendar and your bank statement, and I’ll show you what you value.”

So, what would how we spend our time reveal? 👀 Does it show that we value God’s purpose… pleasing Him… Kingdom success?

Or does it point to worldly things… approval of man…personal agendas…material success?

What truly matters (most)? How would how we spend our time change if we allowed God to reveal our true identity and purpose? If came into agreement with who God says we are and partnered with Him for His work on earth? What would we value differently? What would we pursue? What would change on 🌍?

“What kingdom success looks like could also mirror greatness on earth, but you don’t want to be in pursuit of what man calls great that heaven does not know who you are” - @stephanieike

“Not my will, but Yours be done.” When we walk in Kingdom purpose, it’s no longer about our will…it’s about His. But let’s be honest…sometimes our will still sneaks in. And it’s not always easy to tell the difference.

Here are a few practical heart checks to stay Kingdom-minded:
✅ Am I abiding in Him?
✅ Am I following His instructions (or leading myself)?
✅ Is He getting the glory?

👀 Do you ask yourself these questions? What are some other ways you stay aligned with your assignment? 👀

Looking at purpose through a Kingdom lens gives us a completely different perspective than the world does!

@drtonyevans breaks down our divine calling as “the customized life purpose God has ordained and equipped you to accomplish in order to bring Him the greatest glory and achieve the maximum expansion of His Kingdom.”

Glorifying God > glorifying self
Building His Kingdom > building our own

Abide & Obey…With Intent. 🙏🏾

📖John 15:4-10 NKJV: “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” by @faithwithintent

Purpose flows from connection.
Jesus is the vine, we are the branches. Branches can’t survive when disconnected from the vine. So what kind of life can we expect to have apart from Him?👀

Thankfully, we don’t have to figure it all out on our own. 🙌🏾

We don’t need every answer…we just need to stay connected to the One who holds them.☝🏾

When we abide in Him, He gives us the wisdom and strength to live a fruitful life…one that leaves an eternal impact far beyond this temporary🌍.

📖John 15:4-5: “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

We got Jesus on the mainline! 📞 But how often do we take that access for granted? Putting sleep, relationships, habits, “fun,” or our own desires above Him or what He asks of us?

❓All He really wants is us. How would our life shift if all we wanted was Him too? What (or who🙊)would we put down? How would we spend our time? 👀

📖 Psalm 27:4 (NKJV): One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. 🙏🏾
