If you’re a creative or an entrepreneur in Dubai, the name Faizal Razak @faizalr31 will sound familiar.

NOTA DJ, interior and graphic designer, @thekarak_ event curator and moderator — he’s one of those people who builds bridges, opens doors for local artists, and shapes the city’s nightlife and creative scene.

As a friend of ours he took us back to Al Satwa, the neighborhood where he grew up. Together we walked through his childhood streets, small shops, and hidden corners — places that shaped him, and that you might never have discovered on your own.

The mission? To spotlight the district and bring creative energy back, maybe even turning Satwa into the next Alserkal. And after this walk we definitely see these bright future perspectives.

BTK: BEHIND THE KURSI

What a journey it has been designing and building our first @flava.lab installation in collaboration with @alichaaban and @25hourshoteldubai , @leonardossreis thank you for believing in us and making this a reality.Never thought I’d have an art installation standing the in the lobby of a hotel.

Special shout out to everyone that supported us bringing this to reality, special shout out to @yarnsoftheeast for supporting us by producing such a high quality hand tufted carpet, shout out to @a2eventsco for producing, developing and installing everything together. @mansymatter for bringing his creativity and 3D printing skills to give us little piece of KURSI.
