🦋🫶🏼 2025 was all about the stories behind the storefronts📍✨🗺 📸 They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but on Google Maps, it’s worth millions of helpful moments 🗺️

I’ve always loved finding the "hidden gems"—the quiet cafes, the secret viewpoints, newest raw talented artist & the back-alley bistros. Knowing that my photos have been viewed Over 38+ MILLION 👀 TIMES Worldwide tells me one thing: We’re all looking for something authentic! This makes me so proud, a visual legacy worth leaving 🫶🏼🦋

What started as a hobby of sharing my favorite corners of the world as art therapy has turned into a global community of explorers. From the Grandmas kitchen disguised as a hole-in-the-wall better than a Michelin star to the hidden pop up galleries keeping the local arts scene alive, my 2025 Local journey was dedicated to the "mom and pop" spots that make our communities feel like home.

From finding the best $5 street tacos to documenting the murals that tell a city’s story, I’m so grateful I could help put their stories in front of like-minded enthusiasts on instagram or google maps. 🧳Be Still My Heart 🫶🏼 Bittersweet ✨️Just dove headfirst into a 2005 kaleidoscope abyss of old camera videos/pics & emerged dripping in nostalgia 🫶🏼🦋 Circa 2005-2015 📸

20 years of budget globe-trotting adventures - Peak mid 2000s! My USA Country Ambassador Couchsurfing younger self was thriving in the whole vibe of the CS Community in, even if my nervous system was always throwing a full-blown rave painfully internally. Those people made life worth livin', and they helped every day in every way✨️

These aren't just memories; they're costume changes in the greatest show on earth: My Life. 💖 Decades of moments that once felt like fleeting seconds, now solidified in these tangible fragments of glimmering moments on a reel to relive!

You can almost hear the hum of a new foreign city, feel the sun drenched on my skin, the quiet triumph of navigating a new community while battling the hustle & bustle of a new city possibly hourly!

It was NEVER EASY, always navigating my invisible disabilities like unruly children, always misbehaving. Living with chronic painful illness & a neurodivergent brain while chasing sunsets across continents solo made life quite a challenge. On a medical sabbatical? A dramatic arc, to say the least! But within the struggle, there were always these… glimmering moments with magical people! They said, "Who says a once in a lifetime adventure should happen ONLY ONCE in a lifetime!" And I'll never forget it! I chase moments , not things now & I've never regretted it in my entire adult life. The greatest lesson I learned was that I was lucky enough to learn it early at 22 years old.

Whether CouchSourfing a converted guestroom VW van now guestroom in fjords of Norway sleeping on a dorm floor in Bucharest to a floating sleeping spot on a yacht in the Atlantic! I'm beyond grateful for every soul that's crossed my path. Proof that even with ♿️ limitations, a life of adventure is not only possible but essential! Young, naive 22-year-old 🦋Y'all helped carve me into who I am today, and for that, I'm FOREVER THANKFUL. . . .🗺🧳🫶🏼

📸 Street Photography ☀️Tampa Bay Summer Side Quests 🦋 Art Therapy 🎨

Next time, be a tourist in the city you live. As someone arriving for the very first time. Walk through the streets without assuming you already know where they lead.

Eat at the cafes you've never tried. Shop at local markets as if they belonged to a city halfway across the world & doing that, you might discover that while you were busy growing up, your city was growing too.

There are new corners waiting to be discovered & new memories waiting to be made. It takes looking at home through the eyes of a traveler to realise it was worth it all along.
