Feighn the witch 🐈
The last pumpkin from 2025. This one I didn’t get to showing you last year. This year I'm taking a break from carving.

The reference image is super old and unfortunately, I haven’t been able to track down the original artist anymore. It’s one of those images you come across online when you’re 14 to 16 years old. You save it and then it just stays with you forever.

Equinox - the ravens by @gren_art_

I saw Green's picture and was somewhat overwhelmed by the atmosphere and the meaning behind it. Even though my theme for pumpkin carving was actually witches and wizards, I really wanted to try my hand at this picture as well. I hope you like it. You can see the original at @gren_art_ .

A little Valentine's Day greeting from Mizutsune.
I saved this picture from the last Connichi especially for this occasion.

Very few pictures show Mizutsune in full when I take him to conventions, so I really wanted to have pictures like this with him.
In case you're wondering why the pictures look very soft and powdery, the photographer used a special lens to take them. Even though it's not the usual style of pictures I take, I actually really like the effect in these pictures and think it's fitting when you have a big fluffy purple dragon with you.

Pumpkin Askell and "Hoheit"

What can I say? My cosplay year was completely devoured by this witcher, so of course he had to be carved into a pumpkin, too. ÖwÖ

I took the image from Lian's art book. It's more of a sketch there though, so please forgive me for the creative liberties I took here and there to actually create this pumpkin.

Askell 🌱

It's been a long journey, and it's not over yet. The cosplay I was working on in 2025 is this witcher.
This cosplay reminded me of what I love about cosplaying, because I actually just wanted to surprise the creator @lian_illustration of the manga #rabenfluch with it. It's not part of a major international franchise, so I didn't think that many people would aproach me. But it happens! SO many people talked to me simply because they like the design and want to learn more about it.
And isn't the design wonderful? I love detailed drawings, and Lian is a master at it. I highly recommend the manga to anyone who enjoys something pleasing to the eye with magic ✨️

Qifrey (@zaylina1 )

I know this is probably the worst time to post this picture, but this is also the pumpkin I carved last year and never showed. The idea for this pumpkin was actually to try carving a real photo. But there is more to say about it.

If I'm honest, I don't know Zaylina1 or the character Qifrey. I only met Zaylina once during Connichi 2023 (?) and spoke with her briefly. But it left a lasting impression on me. I then discovered her Qifrey cosplay on her Instagram page through pictures by @zenchanphotography . That's when I first heard about the manga. So, that brief meeting there introduced me to two other things I love: Zenchan's fantasy photography and the Manga Atelier of Witch Hat.

To this day, I haven't taken the time to read the manga (I know, I know). Because if I know I'll like something, I can't just consume it. I want to take the time to enjoy it, all by myself and in peace (I rarely get to do that in my everyday life.)

So this is a little love letter to:
- all the amazing cosplayers who put so much love into their costumes. I see that, and I will never forget the memories of you and your efforts once I meet you,
- all the great photographers who put their skills, heart and soul into their work to create images that look magical and captivating and
- to all the artists who fill their pictures with so much detail and care that I could look at them forever.

Tldr:
I love all people who put passion into what they love. Sometimes you might not even realize how positively you influence those around you BUT YOU DO!

Archer Tartaglia

I'm so behind when it comes to posting pictures :D This picture is from 2023, when I had just finished Tartaglia's bow for Connichi.
I love how the pictures turned out.

Happy Halloween!

Two years ago I saw @pertaret at #dokomi and bought one of her prints. The picture came in a bag showing her #oc and... ngl I still have the bag. Because I love pictures with lots of details where you always find something new and you never really get tired of them.
And yes, what can I say: it was precisely these details that made me want to carve this picture into a pumpkin. It was a lot of work and sometimes I was so confused about what I was actually carving that I had to keep the bag next to me the whole time.

Good old Times

Looking back to Gamescom 2017 and my #monsterhunter Rathian cosplay.
This cosplay is insane for me now. It was my second cosplay ever and I made it out of an ISO mat, cardboard, polystyrene, wire and foam rubber. It was incredibly uncomfortable to wear and for a long time I had a scar on my hip because of it. After every convention, the cosplay fell halfway apart. I had no idea what I was doing and didn't have the money for expensive/better materials.

But now I can look back and I have to admit that the #armor doesn't look too bad and I'm really proud of what I achieved back then.
I still have #sieglinde the #greatsword and will keep it as a memento.

$Vash the Stampede The desire to carve Vash this year was simply too great. What can I say, I really like the anime and the opening haunts me as often as it happens to be played. It must be a sign Idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This pumpkin was particularly challenging. Not only because I could hardly decide between the three fanarts I had picked out, but also because this pumpkin is patterned and INCREDIBLY big. He weighed 28kg and I could hardly lift him because of his shape. I also didn't know how the green stripes would affect the carving when it was lit from the inside. It was something new but I'm kinda happy with how it came out. . Dokomi Cosplayball 2024

This year we decided to wear Lumine and Tartaglia at the ball. @sailoraria created her #owndesign for Lumine's ball gown and I followed @ventusplumas (on twitter) wedding outfit design.

It wasn't easy to get it ready for the ball but I love the design so check it out. We look really good together don't we?

Jikan
Second pumpkin 2024.

I actually wanted to carve @kurosagari 's OC last year. But I postponed it until this year and what can I say?
"Really took my sweet time while [carving] him" ;3
It was a real pleasure to be able to realise this pumpkin.
All the patterns on his clothes are a lot of work, but somehow they also make the project exciting for me.
I hope you like him as much as I do.
