Three songs from my project JULIA FOX 2016 are available to listen to on streaming services now

This music is inspired by Julia Fox's memoir, photos from her archived Instagram page, and a compilation of her vines from the era that I found on Reddit. Each composition is a musical vignette and an attempt to soundtrack a scene or event described in her book.

These photos were taped to my wall for a year, becoming small portals allowing me to access a cultural moment that felt elusive and magical to me; an America defined by excess and uncertainty etc etc whatever. I hope you will forgive me for romanticising a story of abuse and addiction but it's just what I did. And it's not a romanticisation, just a reflection, living life and then telling stories and comparing them to other peoples' stories is how we understand eachother, our roles in the world, and the many different ways we can live. I suppose that's why my voice is in it.
