Little life update 🤎

The past few weeks have been a little bit of everything. A great vacation, the Biltmore, a fun food tour around downtown Asheville NC, seeing Charles Wesley Godwin for the 5th time, campfires, lots of time with friends & family, and some harder moments too, including saying goodbye to my grandmother.

I’ve been taking some time away from work and social media to just be present, experience all the emotions, check some boxes off my list, make memories, and spend time with the people I love.

Don’t feel guilty for taking time away to be with the people you love most and enjoy life. Take the time, make the memories, and be with your people.

A letter to my best friend 💌>>

Never in a million years did I think I’d be writing this. I don’t think I’ll ever have the words to explain what it feels like to lose you, or how much I already miss you.

You were my Mema, but you were also my best friend, my safe place, my rock, and the person I could call when no one else answered. You always knew how to make me feel better, keep me sane, and remind me that everything was going to be okay. You had a way of making me feel like I could handle anything, simply because I knew I had you in my corner….>>

….You’ve been my rock from the day I was born, and I’m so thankful I got to have you for as long as I did. There are so many things I wish you could have stayed for. Like watching me get married, meet my future kids, and see all the life I still have ahead of me. But I’m also so grateful that you got to live a long, healthy, beautiful life, and that I got to share so many years and memories with you. I’m going to miss all of our little routines that I never realized would mean so much to me. I’ll miss taking you to your doctor’s appointments and hearing the “hey baby” as soon as you open the passenger door and then somehow turning those days into our own little lunch dates and shopping trips. I’ll miss watching you ask for a lemon, cover it in salt, and eat it like it was an appetizer (now I know where I get that from). I’ll miss hearing you talk about how much you loved and missed Jake, and how you always said that if you were our age, you’d steal him right away from me. Those are the little things I’ll hold onto forever, the memories that seemed so ordinary at the time but mean everything to me now.

Thank you for loving me so fiercely, for always being there, and for helping make me into the woman I am today. I know I got a little bit of my feistiness from you, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ll carry you with me through every chapter of my life. I’ll miss your voice, your advice, your hugs, and knowing I could always call you. I know the ache of missing you will never completely go away, but neither will the love I have for you. I’ll keep living, loving, and making you proud just like you a by @fallynnn

600 hours later…💖

Graduated esti school with long nights, countless facials and all the love and support from family and friends. Couldn’t have done it without any of you so I just wanted to thank you. (You all know who u are)
