It’s all about *fun, family, and staying safe at the beach.*

It’s continuous outdoor fun for the whole family! Games on the beach, swimming, running, and making lifelong friends.

*🏊‍♂️ 2. Learn to be Safe in the Sea*
Your child learns vital ocean skills from our coaches — how to spot rip currents, read waves, and basic first aid. Confidence in the water that lasts a lifetime.

*❤️ 3. We Become Lifesavers*
Nippers is the first step to becoming a real surf lifesaver. When they turn 14, they can join our junior and senior lifeguards and help keep Muizenberg Beach safe.

*👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 4. Parents are Part of the Crew*
When you join Nippers, you join the family! We love when parents get involved, help out on the beach, and share the gees with us. Many of our best volunteers started as Nipper parents.

🎉 Well done to our four u13 boys who participated in the beach sprint event at yesterday's lifesaving competition! 🌊🏆 Their hard work and dedication paid off, with one of them making it through to the finals 🙌🏽👏🏽 We're so proud of our young athletes and grateful for their commitment to the sport and to our community. 🤗👍🏽

False Bay Nippers is back, join us this season.

Nippers is a junior program that introduces children aged 8 to 14 to surf lifesaving. It is a fun outdoors activity that grows a child’s confidence, teaches valuable life skills and knowledge about the aquatic/marine environment. The youth of today are the future of Surf Life Saving, and the Nippers pathway teaches lessons and skills allowing them to continue in lifesaving, and carry over into other sporting codes and life in general as they grow older.
