Listening and processing lots and seeing where I land. Trying not to over think it. Forest bathing with friends.

Did you know then? Is out today. It takes on different meaning for everyone who hears it. I love to hear others stories and what it means for them at shows.

The songwriting for this one poured out of me in 15 mins. I love those ones.
Written on the guitar but on the recording @adamscrimshire and I decided to use piano. Thank you for your piano skills. Felt right.

In memory of Ian, friend and fan who came to every show, always let me know if a song was a shit one ha but you loved this one. RIP Ian 🧡

Come see it live

Day 1 of my album challenge No skips, no shuffle

Starting with Fleet Foxes (2008).

I listened first thing in the morning and it felt nostalgic and hopeful all at once.

It came out in my early 20s and took me straight back to a simpler time.

I didn’t get fully into it then because I was in Bon Iver and vampire weekend mode. My wife loves them, so I thought I’d rediscover.

Did this album soundtrack a part of your life? And what should I listen to next?

My double EP is in my bio

So excited to share I’ll be a part of the Power Up cohort 6 , a team full of Black excellence! This journey has meant so much to me, and being selected for this program is a huge step in leveling up my project and getting ever closer to my true vision.

Thank you to the @prsfoundation @timetopowerup_ and all the Power Up partners for this incredible opportunity and for investing in artists like me. Congrats to the rest of cohort 6, excited to grow alongside you all! This support will allow me to create my next body of work, new music incoming!

What I love about songwriting is the journey I take with each song. When I first played ‘The Middle,’ I was in deep anger, ( this is good, I rarely get angry) now when I play it, I’ve realised that’s subsided. With the title track, ‘Conditions,’ I felt deep sadness , now I feel acceptance. Each song marks where I was, and where I am now. It may eb and flow but thats what makes this project/ writing songs so special to me. Its a marker of moments and emotions.

As always, the songs are exposed, honest, and vulnerable. My favourite track on the EP is ‘ Lake’. As I start writing my next body of work, I feel really proud of these songs out in the world.

If you were at a recent show and felt something go give it a listen. Would love to know what lands for you 🫶🏾

Link to the EP is in my bio

If you’re new here welcome 👋🏾 I’m an indie folk grunge artist turning pain into songs, one honest story at a time. Queer, vulnerable, unfiltered. Stick around if that’s your thing. I’ve got gigs through the year that you can find in my bio and just released a double EP called ‘Conditions’ that you can also find in the link above. Its also being sold on vinyl. On a mission of reframing the pain and maintaining the peace . Much love ❤️❤️❤️

By the way if you’re wondering what the big straw is in my photo it’s a warm up tube for my vocals. Game changer before shows by @falseidah
