“Weeds,” a few weeks later. The work by FONDATION TSCHUESS (@fondation_tschuess) takes shape through the vegetation left undisturbed in the courtyard of the Kunstverein, continuously changing with the seasons, and the passage of time.

“Weeds”, 2026, is an instruction-based architectural program looking into both the construction and upkeep of an image. In the broadest sense, the term refers to any plant growth in an undesired location, making it a subjective and socially constructed category. The work’s instructions define upkeep as the cultivation of naturally occurring growth.

MARA WOHNHAAS, MATTHIAS HOLZNAGEL and HAGEN EBERLE—alias FONDATION TSCHUESS—operate on a case-by-case basis in continually shifting circumstances. Central to Fondation Tschuess‘s practice is the continuous reflection and observation of exhibitionmaking.

Following the invitation by FALTPAVILLON , Fondation Tschuess presents "Weeds", a floral arrangement in the courtyard. "Weeds" is an instructive architectural program looking into both construction and upkeep of image. In the broadest sense, the term refers to any plant growth in an undesired location, making it a subjective and socialised category. Where the Faltpavillon is placed, the works instruction defines upkeep as the cultivation of naturally occuring growth.

Faltpavillon is an itinerant exhibition vessel created in 2020 by artists MICHAEL RAY-VON and FINN CURRY. The format is a 3 × 3 meter folding tent assembled at a new site for each presentation.

Following the invitation by Faltpavillon, Fondation Tschuess is presenting a floral arrangement in the courtyard of the Kunstverein Braunschweig.

Mara Wohnhaas, Matthias Holznagel, and Hagen Eberle—alias Fondation Tschuess—operate on a case-by-case basis. The focus is on exhibition-making. Fondation Tschuess places its trust in artistic approaches and seeks to foster them. Under the pressure of circumstances, Fondation Tschuess operates without a permanent location, instead continually moving into options.

“Weeds”, a presentation of Fondation Tschuess, starts Friday, June 26 at 7pm in the courtyard of Kunstverein Braunschweig (52°15’28.5”N 10°31’30.8”E), Lessingplatz 12, 38100 Braunschweig. It opens alongside Liesl Raff’s Slant, curated by Cathrin Mayer in the Villa, Annette Senneby’s Attic, curated by Emily Fáhlen and Cathrin Mayer in the Villa and Michael Ray-Von’s Interference Pattern, curated by Junia Thiede in the Remise, followed by the Kunstverein’s traditional summer party.

Diogo Pinto and Faltpavillon have created a Souvenir T-Shirt to commemorate Diogo’s two-part presentation “Verão – Été – Summer – Sommer”. The design is a collage of elements Diogo has collected from archival magazine advertisements promoting tourism and foreign investment in Portugal.

In addition to yesterday’s presentation in the garden of the Pavilhão Branco of Lisbon’s Galerias Municipais, a second event will take place this Thursday in the Algarve.

The first of Diogo Pinto’s two-part Faltpavillon presentation “Verão – Été – Summer – Sommer” will take place this Sunday June 26 in the gardens of the Pavilhão Branco of Lisbon’s Galerias Municipais.

Pavilhão Branco’s current exhibition “This is a Bar... ou Praia de Banhos – Joaquim Bravo, Turismo e o Algarve” was curated by Pinto. The exhibition examines the subtle and intricate relationship of art and tourism in Portugal and gathers over 100 works of the past 50 years by Portuguese artists. It will serve as an anchor for this first part of Pinto’s Faltpavillon which will present the artist’s own work.
