Tangzhong for the soft bounce, but give me a little crisp on the outside. A layer of cinnamon butter at the bottom of the pan, because who doesn’t want more cinnamon butter?

Some places stay with you because of the way the food made you feel.

Haminados in Notting Hill, London is one of those places. A cozy neighborhood spot serving family recipes with peak season produce, made by the same hands for over 20 years before recently retiring. I’m grateful I got to experience it.

This plate is inspired by their shakshuka. Blistered tomatoes, red onion, roasted garlic, smoked paprika and goat cheese, with eggs from @chickmagnet.21 and a @republiquerestaurantla baguette. by @fameetc

Every time I make popcorn, I think about my Aunt Jackie making popcorn in a cast iron skillet, topless in her bloomers in the summertime, while we watched the little radio dial TV in her kitchen. Oooohhh, how romantic.

Tonight, I’m having popcorn for dinner and thinking about my favorite lady. Happy Friday. by @fameetc
