It takes about 50 hours together to turn someone into a friend. So we did the math for parents 🧮

A University of Kansas study found adults need about 50 hours to become casual friends, about 90 to become friends, and more than 200 to become close friends. And it has to be hanging-out time. Working side by side counts less.

At 30 seconds of waving at school pickup, that's about 33 years.
One afternoon at the park? 3 hours.
One long Thanksgiving dinner? About 8% of a friendship 🥧
