“I’m Not a Model” to Selin Magazine

When we first met at Indian Lake,
Atyah told me,
“I’m not a model.
My sister is the model.”

I looked through my camera
and thought,
My goodness, this woman is beautiful.

Then Indian Lake sent a gentle breeze down the hillside,
her dress began to move,
and we started creating.

When I showed her the first image,
she told me I was a good photographer.
I thanked her, then said,
“Without you in this image,
it’s just an okay landscape photograph.
With you in it, it’s art.”

With each image,
I watched her become more comfortable
with what was unfolding.

And now,
you have these images published
in Selin Magazine.

Congratulations, Atyah!

—
and even happier that Indian Lake
and I got to be there when it began. ❤️

Unapologetically fancy—

soft as rain-kissed by earth, rooted deep in wisdom, and led by the quiet light of grace. 🌿✨ I move with the gentleness of a Proverbs woman while the winds hug my soul, I carry the radiant majesty of one whom knows who she is; I flow—gracefully, richly, and entirely in my own divine rhythm. 🤎
