Who are the minds behind FANG—a fashion mag like no other?

Flora (@floraescent) is a multidisciplinary creative. Her primary practices are photography and film. When she’s not turning her hobbies into other jobs, she’s busy finding the best cosmo in town.

Arela (@somewhatdumblings) is a writer and multi-creative. He is inspired by envelope pushers, provocateurs, and pioneers of the local unknown.

Naomii (@naomiiseah) is a reporter, writer, and freelancer covering everything from lifestyle to news and opinion. Like Carrie Bradshaw but less problematic and more broke.

Gabbie (@gabizzlesizzle) is a graphic designer and illustrator. When she’s not downing an Aperol spritz, she is crocheting… sometimes simultaneously. taken in Tāmaki Makaurau - Auckland by @fang__mag

Excerpts from our limited edition minizine released at this year’s @aucklandzinefest, which took home the judges’ wildcard for the Best of the Fest award at the 2026 Zine Awards last night 🥳

This one was a special one for us, made with our friend @breakfast.express in Alyssum’s honour, and with a dedication from Alyssum’s mum 💌

Only 30 people out in the world have a copy of this minizine (plus a handful of prototypes floating around)! Huge thanks to all of our collaborators who helped bring this to life, and to everyone who has supported FANG along the way ♥️♥️♥️ by @fang__mag
