🌟: CELEBRATE FANM SAJ YOUTH LEADERSHIP!! Welcome 2025-2026 Fanm Saj Youth Leadership Board Members and Youth Trainees.

Join us in celebrating them as they step into their Leadership AND Healership. We are building our New Economy NOW representing neighborhood communities In South Florida: North Miami, Miami Gardens, Liberty City, Lauderhill, Port Saint Lucie, Tallahassee, Mid Florida and North Florida. Also, representing organizations across Florida!

We’re continuing to build on a strategy that Youth leadership board members and Fanm Saj team created as a peer to peer coaching model that works for us.

The Fanm Saj Youth Leadership Program brings together passionate young changemakers with our dedicated board members for mentorship, skill-building, and community action.

In this transformative program, our youth trainees will:

• Develop essential leadership skills
• Work directly with board mentors on real community projects
• Create and implement their own community initiatives
• Build lasting relationships and networks

We’re most excited about engaging past leaders, providing access to the youth programming for potential members and expanding to those who have limited time but still care deeply about the safety and healing of our people. We are excited to continue our youth leadership model of interrupting forms of violence and promoting conflict resolution, peace and healing.

Special thanks to our amazing board members for their commitment to nurturing young talent, and congratulations to our cohort of youth trainees selected for this life-changing opportunity!

✨ Are you (or someone you know) interested in future program opportunities or circles in your community? Drop a comment below or DM us for more information! ✨

Iron Workshops led by Black Alliance for Just Immigration, Florida Student Poerr Network and Yaya Por Vida

Steel sharpens steel.

Another offering that affirms that we are out here. We are here for each other, we have to hold space for each other, collectively lamenting-“All we got is us”. We are giving ourselves permission to heal, to be heard, speak our truths and be our authentic selves.

Altar of Iron
Altar Artist Loni Johnson

The altar will include offerings to Ogun of course but also honoring the warrior energy of the women in my life. The pieces were made to honor the lineage of powerful, warrior women I derived from. So I’m inviting the participants to think of their own warrior spirit and the warrior ancestral spirit that guides us all.

Circle keeping at the Ocean Waters build and strengthen our relationships

Throwback to youth circle at the Ocean

“At the water altar, people arrived carrying things they were tired of holding. Fear came dripping from the edges of their words. Doubt. Anxiety. Worry. The pressure to be perfect. One person reminded us that perfection is a colonial invention, something that asks us to move against our own nature.

Water knows better. Water bends.
Water adapts. Water survives.”

Water Workshops led by Queen Joquetta Batista and Iyalode Cora Lee Alexander

Reiki and Youth Survivor Circle

As people released, they also named where they hoped to flow. Toward genuine love. Toward abundance.
Toward peace. Toward standing in their own power. Toward new beginnings.
Some dreamed of abundant resources
and stewardship of land, reminding us that healing is never only individual-it is collective, ecological, ancestral.

Altar of Water | Yemoja
Altar Artist Alexis Hyatt

I chose water because water has held me through some of my most difficult times as an organizer, healer, and survivor. Throughout my journey, water has been a constant life force, cleansing me and holding my burdens. Water has alchemized pain into alignment. We need to name the pain, name where it hurts, and release it. When we release, we need to also be affirmed and reminded that we are divine beings with a team of elevated spirits ready to hold us and fight alongside us as we work towards liberation.

The Womb is a Portal

“If women held the majority of political and economic power, societal norms and cultural rituals would fundamentally shift toward nature, operational efficiency, and empathy.
The standard definition of “winning” would be redefined-moving away from individual dominance and toward long-term sustainability, community care, and collective progress”
