This stompbox was born in 1956, though it had a very different job back then. It was built to carry diesel.
Seventy years later, it no longer transports fuel - it carries growling noise instead.

Inside is a modified Schumann PLL circuit paired with an auto-wah style envelope filter, giving it everything from synth-like octave tones to sputtering fuzz and unpredictable textures.

Guitar Part II. Read below for more information:
I tried out my newest build on my guitar, recording it directly through the mixing console, and I ran it through an analog cab sim first.

"Siegas" with two chaotic effects inside. On the right side of the effects pedal lies a world of super chaotic, unpredictable soundscapes. It’s not a traditional fuzz, but rather an oscillator and sound generator that can completely deconstruct your guitar or bass. Here is a compact overview of the most important controls and functions: Swash: Allows you to set extremely fine sonic “sweet spots” in the noise circuit. Noisegate: Controls the flow from music to pure noise. Serves as a feedback and gate control that sets limits on the wild oscillations or cuts them off completely. Gain: Controls the gain in the circuit. Tone: A mix control for bass and treble. Preclip: A switch that lets you select different types of diode clipping for the distortion. Low Power: Simulates a dead battery, which drastically alters the sound and often leads to “stuttering” 8-bit or glitch effects.

On the left side, we have something special: an aggressive blend of fuzz and a dynamic envelope filter. Here are the control options: Frequency: changes the cutoff frequency of the filter. Sensitivity: controls the input sensitivity; there is also a Tone switch and a Tone knob.

When both effects are activated, chaos ensues! But you’ll need some practice to get the hang of all the controls at first.

Everything build into a 5 Liter "Siegas" petrol can.

Point-to-point wired as an overdrive pedal with two ECC86 tubes. Warm, vintage overdrive sound!
The pedal is an overdrive/distortion pedal that runs on a standard 9 to 12volt, since I installed ECC86 tubes in it. They are specifically designed for 12 volts, they were used in car radios back then.

I connected the pedal to my pedalboard and recorded it directly into the mixing console using a speaker simulator.

Connected to my Tube Radio Amplifier.
I built this amplifier from a 1963 Loewe Opta radio. It has only one clean channel and works perfectly as a small practice amp. The power tube is an EL84, and it has tone controls for bass and treble.

Insane Noise - built into a multimeter!
Test Drive - Part V.

A heavy Noise-Maker built into an old Unigor 3P multimeter.

I squeezed the “Lawn Mower Tribe” circuit into this vintage multimeter case and turned it into a compact machine for chaotic oscillation, extreme feedback, and completely unpredictable noise.

About the circuit:
On bottom knobs of the effects pedal lies a world of super chaotic, unpredictable soundscapes. It’s not a traditional fuzz, but rather an oscillator and sound generator that can completely deconstruct your guitar or bass. Here is a compact overview of the most important controls and functions: Swash: Allows you to set extremely fine sonic “sweet spots” in the noise circuit. Low Power: Simulates a dead battery, which drastically alters the sound and often leads to “stuttering” 8-bit or glitch effects.

With the top left knobs, you can mix a pulse width modulation into it. Mix pot, turned to the right, the PWM is added. You can add now Rate, Depth, Modulation and a Pulse.
