Latest visual identity for Mahrajan Music Festival.

The world’s flagship Arabic music festival with its first edition set in London. Disruptive, light-hearted and dynamic, the visual identity was created to be as responsive and experimental as the sounds coming out of the music scene at this moment in time. Challenging whatever preconceived notions that come to mind when you think of an Arabic music festival and redefining how that looks, moves and talks. We built the entire visual world from the ground up: from stage screen visuals, full merch line to a full typographic motion system. A celebration of music and culture, welcome to our inner circle.

Limited edition vinyl packaging for Women on Record with @bureau____art

Bringing women’s voices across generations and debuting at El Gouna Film Festival. Moving between an unreleased track by Jana Diab on Side A and an excerpt from Night by the late Lebanese poet and artist Etel Adnan, read by French-Algerian artist Zineb Sedira on Side B.

A rooted yet contemporary take on Arabic vinyl music culture.

100% of proceeds support a scholarship for a female arts student at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts d’Alger.

Official film posters for independent film “Al Qesas”: The Stories. A dramedy starring Amir el Masry and Nelly Karim set across pivotal points in Egyptian history. Meant to reflect the golden age of Egyptian cinema posters, taking direct inspiration from that visual culture. With custom calligraphy created for the credits as a way to stay true to the craft of the time. The film follows the unlikely love story of an Egyptian boy and an Austrian girl as they navigate life, death and career all amidst a war.

Titlecards for El Ayah by @wegzofficial

Inspired by the modernist architecture of the villa the music video was filmed in, the type also takes a modernist approach. With geometric and deconstructed letterforms wrapping around the opening and end frames.
