that time i became a seed saving farmer and it changed my life. the seeds are teachers. the land is my being.

excerpt
for the first time ever this august, i was taught how to thresh. THRESH, to tread, to separate seed from plant. THRESHOLD, the space where the grain or seed are processed and held. the place where you mind the process between life and death.
as soon as i tread the plant to harvest their seed, i could feel the presence of my ancestors, tending the land. not their land, THE land. i could see my siti in a field of wheat. i become ashtarte and remembered brigid. reminding me that sometimes the land needs friction.

i was conditioned to fear irregular weather patterns. as if the earth could be my enemy. as if it could be controlled. (un) fortunately for us, a cyclone or wildfire doesn’t choose sides. because the earth is round. do you think you can poison her waters and she wont find the cup you’re drinking from? do you think a seed worth saving, doesn’t need a little friction to be born? by @fantasy_forward

ISO TEMPORARY HOMESPACE in kijpuktuk / hali from october 21-nov 14. I will be working full time doing a project and need a place to sleep and feed myself and decompressoes.
if you can house me for part of that time, too, that’s a huge help. could split up the time among angels!
