finished my VHM at @btn_jakim 2026!

my pace was nowhere near my target, but honestly, that’s fair. i skipped more training sessions than i should’ve, especially strength training just because… i was lazy.

so while 3:01:14 wasn’t the number i had in mind, i’m still proud that i showed up and got it done.

one thing i’ve learned through running is that everything is an experience. if it goes well, it’s an experience. if it doesn’t go as planned, it’s an experience too. somehow, life feels a lot lighter when you think about it that way.

& while i love running, there are definitely moments when i HATEEeeEeEe IT. heavy breathing, seeing stars after 3K, questioning every life decision mid-run… but i guess that’s all part of the process.

what made this race extra special was seeing my parents, boyfieee & closest friends show up for me. knowing they were waiting somewhere along the course gave me something to look forward to whenever things started to feel hard.

at the end of the day, it’s never me vs anyone else. it’s always me vs me.

just grateful for the experience, the people, and the 21.4 kilometers!!! by @faqeela
