I made these things today and then I made this video. But I did NOT make my resume or my portfolio or respond to that email or water the plant or shower. Going to shower now. by @farahrose

The celebrating of some people, places and things from warmer times, and a whole lot of mediocre dancing on my part. by @farahrose

I’ve gone through 3 heat presses, tested out over 8 different tote varieties/fabrics, and learned a lot about this art form along the way. I’ve also photoshopped at least 25 sandwiches and made 1000 design variations before i even brought this off the computer screen. Well we finally got somewhere, somewhere special: I built a silly world around a very very good idea, very very good and @burnttotes was born. I’m having fun with this side project, it’s a good distraction from my other side projects, and I’m honestly pretty serious about it! Enjoy some of the look into my process/behind the scenes/all over the floor!!

Shop is live at burnttotes.com

This is really me in the video, and by the way it’s edited, there is clearly no AI helping there. Nonetheless, there is a bedazzled BEC in this video making it prone to this IG AI content tag. Everything about my physical process I wanted to share cannot be assisted by AI. by @farahrose

Anotha idea that was not remotely on today’s bingo card.
Before deciding to document the ~process~, I first compiled footage of me painting large scale paintings, and screenshotted them, then I cut out the dimly lit figures from the screenshot….so that would’ve been in the prequel, idk maybe you missed it. by @farahrose

Realizing my site lacked direction as it’s been a playground/stomping ground/experimental space. Instead of starting more intentionally on a client-facing site, I said, hey what about incorporating a switch to turn this playground into a business dancefloor. And hey, why not make this site switch out of gems? And why don’t I animate it with coding language? How bout that? We can sort out what’s on the other end of the site, once you flip the switch, later. by @farahrose

Just when I thought I couldn’t pick out an even smaller detail of my site to work on…I decide to work on the most ephemeral part…the loading animation. That was such a classic move on my part. Still have a few hiccups to resolve but we are having fun! by @farahrose

Working on my User Case Studies for my portfolio….clearly. And absolutely prioritizing effectively! So happy to be creating again and letting myself create and learn whatever it is I’m drawn to that day. Today, a gem pendant animation for my nonexistent website’s Contact page by @farahrose
