When the desert gives you rain...

Here are the final photos from this dream session. I've envisioned these pictures for years as I frequently walk around Album Park. I finally decided to make it a reality after the recent rainstorms filled it with water again. I'm so glad that I was able to find people willing to create just for the sake of it.

Flowers: @the.flower.studio.ep

With @faridisartwork + Kevin

Also, huge thanks and besos to my amazing husband who helped lift a really heavy 16 foot canoe and move it across town for a photoshoot.

And @therealfitfamelpaso for sharing a glimpse of my work with the city of El Paso.

El Paso doesn't have a lake... until it rains like this!

After record rainfall flooded Album Park, I saw a dream session location. This couple said yes to the idea without hesitating. I'm not going to lie, finding a canoe in the desert was HARD but we were able to secure one!

Who else would say yes to this?

Thank you to all the people who made this photographer's heart so happy!

Models: @faridisartwork and her lover Kevin

Flowers: @the.flower.studio.ep (who created these beautiful arrangements in just a few days, incorporating local plants. Hire them for all your floral needs)

And Lupe, the lady who lent her beautiful canoe to strangers on the Internet.

Stay tuned for the final photos!!

*Disclaimer: I received written permission from EP Parks and Recs prior to this shoot. We were prohibited from swimming. We were just allowed to go deep enough for the canoe to safely float, which was this area between the shore and the trees. The water was never more than knee high. Don't enter the water without permission :)
