Kadamprayar at sunrise felt like the world whispering, “slow down, you’re safe here.”

Golden light sliced gently through the fog,
reflections danced quietly on water,
and the countryside held its breath.
No rush. No noise. Just stillness that spoke louder than words.

Ducks gliding like little brushstrokes on a perfect painting, no soundtrack but their gentle ripples and the soft awakening of the sun.

It felt unreal.
Like stepping into a memory you hadn’t made yet.

50 Days, 50 Destinations | Day 7 – Jatayu Earth Center, Kollam, Kerala 🇮🇳🦅

High above the hills of Chadayamangalam, a colossal vulture rests—wings outstretched, eyes opened, as if still guarding the skies.

This is Jatayu. Not just stone and steel, but a memory carved into the earth. He fell here, they say, after fighting for Sita—a final act of courage etched into the rocks.

Now, he watches over the land, reminding us that even in defeat, there is honor.

To capture the grandeur of this site, I created a panoramic cover image by stitching together over 20 individual frames using @lightroom Photo Merge feature. This technique allowed me to encompass the vastness and detail of the landscape in a single, cohesive image.

I stood beneath him, camera in hand, heart full.
Some stories don’t need words—only silence, wind, and a little light.

50 Days, 50 Destinations | Day 3 – Pahalgam, Kashmir, India

She didn’t speak much, but her eyes said everything about Kashmir’s soul.

There’s a magic in Pahalgam that’s hard to put into words. Nestled along the banks of the Lidder River, this charming town is a haven for anyone seeking peace and natural beauty. The lush green meadows, the snow-capped peaks, and the soothing rhythm of the river make it a place that quietly touches your soul.

During one of my walks through the valley, I came across a smiling little girl with her tiny lamb. A moment so pure, so full of life—it instantly melted my heart. I couldn’t help but capture the innocence in her eyes, the bond she shared with the little creature, and the joy that radiated from both. She didn’t speak much, but her eyes said everything about Kashmir’s soul.

It’s these simple, beautiful moments that make Pahalgam unforgettable.

But as I write this, my heart aches. It’s hard to imagine a place so peaceful being touched by violence. The recent attack feels unreal—like a cruel shadow cast over a land filled with light. How could anyone bring harm to a place where children play with lambs, tourists enjoy their moments in open meadows? Where nature heals and hearts connect?

Pahalgam is not just a destination—it’s a feeling. And no matter what, its spirit will shine through.

Welcome to Chettuva—the largest mangrove forest in Kerala, and one of the most vital ecological defense systems we have.

These dense, tangled root systems do a lot more than cast moody shadows on the water. Mangroves are nature’s ultimate multi-taskers: they act as a massive carbon sink, protect our coastlines from erosion and storm surges, and provide a critical nursery for countless marine and bird species.

But ecosystems like this are incredibly fragile. As travelers and creators, our footprint matters. Awareness is the first step toward conservation.

The purple blooms have almost faded for the season, but the memory of that morning above the clouds still feels surreal. 🏔️✨

Looking back at our pre-dawn climb up Chokramudi Peak during the Neelakurinji bloom. We started in the pitch dark, guided only by the cold Munnar wind and the faint glow of valley lights far below.

Watching the horizon catch fire at 7,200 feet while a thick sea of clouds rolled over the Western Ghats was unforgettable on its own—but seeing the rugged slopes painted in wild violet and blue as the sun broke through made the steep climb worth every step. Even without the seasonal blossoms, this summit remains one of the rawest, most dramatic sunrise viewpoints in Kerala.
The Chokramudi Experience (For your future Munnar bucket list):

The Trail: Chokramudi Peak along the Bison Valley / Gap Road stretch in Munnar.
The Vibe: A steep, exposed granite climb that rewards you with 360-degree views of emerald tea estates and thick valley cloud inversions.
Pro Tip: Start the hike around 5:30 AM. The transition from deep blue twilight to golden hour over the mist is where the magic happens—just pack a solid windbreaker for the summit ridge.
