Before October Ends - A Life for a Life is finally where I always wanted it to be, and I can’t wait for you to meet Elisabetta.

If you love psychological fiction, complicated women, therapy, secrets, and stories that quietly destroy your heart… this book is for you.

🇮🇹 Set in the rolling hills of Tuscany and written entirely in diary form, Before October Ends is the first book of the Tuscan Trilogy.

This isn’t a romance. It isn’t a cozy escape, no matter how beautiful Tuscany looks.

It’s the diary of Elisabetta Rossi, a woman who already knows how her countdown ends, yet still decides to give happiness one last chance.

A diary.
A countdown.
A promise that costs everything.

Welcome to Elisabetta’s last ninety days. I hope her story stays with you long after you turn the final page.

1st book of the Tuscan Trilogy available on Kindle Unlimited

188,914 COPIES. FIVE DAYS. ONE COUNTRY. A UK FANTASY RECORD. 🔥

REBELSSSS!!! SARAH J. MAAS HAS DONE IT AGAIN.

A Court of Splintered Harmony has officially become the UK's fastest-selling adult fantasy novel since records began in 1998.

Rebecca Yarros held the record with Onyx Storm. ACOTAR 6 has now overtaken it.

AND AMERICA ISN'T SITTING THIS ONE OUT.

🇺🇸 No. 1 on Apple Books' US paid-book chart.
🎧 No. 1 on its paid audiobook chart.
📚 No. 1 on Audible's weekly fiction list.

An international ebook tracker also reports No. 1 positions in 27 of the 35 countries it follows.

I checked the numbers, the dates, the different charts and exactly what they measure. Because 1.7 million publisher-reported opening copies and 188,914 independently tracked UK sales are VERY different figures.

Tonight's breaking report is live. Completely spoiler-free.

READ IT:

Now, Rebels: has Sarah J. Maas earned the title of publishing's most unstoppable fantasy queen? And did the book live up to your expectations?

1.7 MILLION COPIES. FIVE YEARS OF WAITING. SEVEN DAYS OF ABSOLUTE CHAOS.

REBELSSSS!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING IN PRYTHIAN?! 🔥

Sarah J. Maas has broken her own opening-day sales record with A Court of Splintered Harmony, and apparently, the entire world has something to say about it.

🇺🇸 America is arguing about the book, the characters, the romances and whether readers got the story they waited five years for.

🇬🇧 Britain threw spectacular masquerade parties while a literary critic decided to insult the women reading romantasy.

🇮🇹 Italy is questioning its favourite men.

🇧🇷 Brazil celebrated 40,000+ preorders while frustrated readers demanded answers from the publisher.

🇵🇱 Poland? OH, REBELS. THE REVIEWS ARE BRUTAL.

🇫🇷 France celebrated with more than 70 bookshop events.

And that's only the beginning.

Merchandise controversies, independent bookshops left without stock, international fandom wars, suspicious ebook listings, furious reviews and readers who absolutely LOVED the book.

I went digging across countries, languages, publishers, bookshops and reader communities to find out what REALLY happened during ACOTAR's first week.

The good. The bad. The ugly. The absolutely ridiculous.

One massive international investigation. Completely spoiler-free.

SALLY ROONEY’S BOOKS ARE STILL LEGAL TO READ IN BRITAIN. SO WHY HAS HER UK PUBLISHER STOPPED SUPPLYING THEM?

One of the world's most successful novelists is at the centre of a controversial legal and political dispute that has shaken the publishing industry.

Her UK publisher says it cannot pass her earnings on to her. Questions have emerged surrounding royalties from the television adaptations of Normal People and Conversations with Friends.

Meanwhile, hundreds of authors and cultural figures have signed two open letters in her defence.

Paul Mescal. Daisy Edgar-Jones. Zadie Smith. Arundhati Roy. Nobel Prize-winning authors. Some of the most recognisable names in literature and entertainment have joined the conversation.

And Sally Rooney herself? She has made her position very clear.

But there is an important distinction between the headlines and the facts: her novels have not been formally banned by the British government.

So what has actually happened, and what does this controversy mean for authors, publishers and readers?

Dear Rebels, I decided to investigate.

I examined Sally Rooney's own statements, both original open letters, the publisher's announcement, the television royalty questions, the reactions from booksellers and the legal developments.

The result is an in-depth investigation featuring 24 timeline events, 20 sources and the important questions that deserve clear answers.

With a UK Supreme Court hearing scheduled for November 4–5, the story continues to develop.

November is absolutely feral for books.

Cassandra Clare. Freida McFadden. Rebecca Yarros. Nora Roberts writing witches. Holly Black taking us back to Elfhame. David Baldacci, Janet Evanovich, James Patterson, vampires, psychological horror, romantasy and one TBR that is now completely out of control.

I pulled together the November 2026 releases already getting serious attention, with covers, release dates, preorder links and the books I’m personally watching most closely.

My three biggest curiosities?

Cassandra Clare, because somehow I have never read her.

Nora Roberts, because witches.

Rebecca Yarros, because I really want to see what happens when her enormous readership follows her into a very different kind of story.

Plus Freida McFadden’s new 2026 edition of The Gift, Pantheon by Lacunae, my upcoming review of Death Wish by Gemma Vale, and The Chosen: Dark Version.

Which November release are you waiting for?

❤️ Our most-liked month on WordPress

We sold books, received preorders, made wonderful friends, met new readers and even handed out our very own Scammer Awards. 😂

Some numbers went down. Others went through the roof. I learned more in these 31 days than I could possibly explain in one Instagram caption.

But the biggest discovery?

THE OLD INTERNET IS VERY MUCH ALIVE.

People still read blogs. People still appreciate long articles. People still connect through words.

To Harper Dale, Lacunae, my husband and every single Rebel who made this month possible: I LOVE YOU.

Our complete October report is here. Every number, every victory, every disaster, and the absolutely ridiculous amount of Coke Zero involved.
