Trigger warning - sexual assault and r*pe

Today, almost exactly two years after Olivia was sexually assaulted and r*ped, a magistrate ruled that all the evidence of this horrific act is inadmissible, meaning that it cannot be used to prosecute Olivia's r*pist, Bradley O'Reilly.

The magistrate described the r*pe as being short in nature and not aggravated, justifying his decision to not allow footage of it to be used in court. He described it as a one off, which we find impossible to believe. The Magistrate also decided that police telling O'Reilly to tell them the truth so they could help him, constituted deceptive trickery, meaning that his record of interview, where he confessed to the r*pe, was also ruled inadmissible.

Olivia's name was never spoken in court. Her suffering never illustrated or described. Her r*pe was dismissed as being relatively minor, while the act of obtaining footage of it was classified as being on the more serious end of criminal acts.

The judge described investigators who capture footage of animal cruelty as vigilantes. Vigilantes exist when the system is not working as it should, when justice is overshadowed by corruption. The system has failed Olivia. But thousands of people around the world know her name and her story. And we will never forget her.

Right now, Midland Bacon is attempting to expand, building more sheds to house 2000 more pigs on their farm. We want to stop them. We have until March to continue to lodge objections to the Campaspe Shire Council. Today, the court failed Olivia. But we won't stop fighting for her

Please remember to credit investigators when you use their footage and photos 🙏

At Farm Transparency Project, we want our investigations to reach as far and wide as possible. We're very grateful when people share our work - either directly, or by downloading it and making their own edits. We make it all freely available, including extended video compilations without titles or music, and we always will.

All we ask for is a credit - a small watermark in the corner of your video or image, and tagging us in the caption.

Investigating animal exploitation/abuse is a dangerous, risky undertaking. The potential repercussions are numerous, from physical violence, injuries, threats and intimidation, to expensive lawsuits, search warrants and arrests.

It's thankless, gruelling work. The thirty seconds of footage you see online might have taken months of surveillance, planning and careful execution, and thousands of dollars in costs. The emotional toll of seeing countless suffering animals, but not being able to do anything to help them without compromising the investigation; or reviewing and cutting down hundreds of hours of horrific footage; or putting everything you have into exposing some of the worst cruelty imaginable, only for authorities and journalists to turn a blind eye... it cannot be overstated.

Crediting investigators for their work helps them to see how far it spreads and to know that it was worth it. It gives context to what people see, and gives them somewhere to go if they have questions or want to see more. It adds legitimacy in a world where "this is AI" is becoming an increasingly common way to dismiss uncomfortable realities. It enables people to support those who are on the ground - whether through kind words, donations, or volunteering - not just those trying to build their own following.

Lately, we've been seeing more and more people using our work with no acknowledgement whatsoever of its source. We've even seen entire organisations/accounts built around our investigations, routinely passing the work off as their own.

👉 If you recognise our work somewhere, please drop a comment tagging us and asking for it to be credited. by @farmtransparencyproject

Like all mammals, cows only produce milk when they are pregnant and have given birth to their baby. Their milk is food meant to nourish their newborn calf 🐄

There is no biological need for humans to consume the milk of a different species and humans are the only species to consume breast milk after infancy 🍼

They need their mother’s milk.
Don't be the reason it’s taken from them.

Cow milk is for baby cows 🐄

Investigators documented calf separation at this dairy farm in South Australia. They saw the bond between the mother cows and their calves and then watched as they were taken 💔

The male calves will often be sold, likely to local beef farmers or slaughterhouses. While most female calves will eventually be moved outdoors to be raised as replacements for the milking herd.

Don’t be the reason a mother is without her child. Don’t support the dairy industry 🌱
Try cruelty-free alternatives instead.

For years, this South Australian Dairy Farm has been hiding a secret…

Minko North Dairy is one of South Australia’s largest dairy farms. With connections to the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus, it had been used as a training facility for the University from 2013-2022 🐄

But, if you were to walk behind the sheds, filled with cows and calves, and examine the piles of freshly turned earth, you would find a scene straight out of a nightmare.

🔍 New footage taken over the course of a year at Minko North Dairy in Korunye, South Australia shows multiple mass graves containing the bodies of hundreds of cows and calves.

Footage shows farmers dumping dead animals who have died or been killed on the farm. Some cows and calves had been freshly dumped, their bloated bodies barely covered by dirt, while others have decomposed until only their skeletons remain. Some cows and calves show evidence of having been killed by a bolt gun, while others seem to have succumbed to sickness or injury 💔

Minko North Dairy is one of South Australia’s largest dairy farms. The farm sold their milking herd in September 2026 in a herd dispersal sale held at Echuca Saleyards in Victoria. However, the farm remains operational and continues to raise calves and young heifers.

Despite their monitoring, we still don’t know how many of the cows and calves hidden behind the sheds at Minko North were killed.

👉 Do you have information about what this dairy has been doing to their cows? Send us a tip at contact@farmtransparency.org.

Keep the pressure on RSPCA Victoria to save the Mt Eliza horses 🐴

Despite numerous calls, emails and reports over the past year, the RSPCA has not taken action to save the victims of animal cruelty at Maxine Fraser’s property in Mt Eliza, Victoria.

When RSPCA Victoria seized animals from the property on 25 September last year, they left behind 20 goats, 18 horses (stallions, geldings and colts) and an unknown number of dogs.

There have been a number of horrific injuries due to stallions fighting and the state of disrepair of the property. These include serious wounds to the neck, stomach and chest, as well as conditions resulting from chronic neglect, including poor dental health and hoof care ❤️‍🩹

The conditions on the property as well as the wounds are all documented and reported to the RSPCA by civilian investigators; however, they refuse to intervene and remove the remaining horses. They are also yet to lay any charges against Maxine Fraser for animal cruelty or neglect.

Help the animals by taking action today!

We’ve been receiving a lot of messages asking about the outcome of our High Court case, where a slaughterhouse is seeking to permanently block our footage… unfortunately the update is that there is no update.

We have not yet received the judgment from the High Court. We promise we’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything.

It has been over two and a half years since our hidden cameras captured the horrific slaughter of goats, including newborn goats who were ineffectually stunned and left half-paralysed.

We were sued by the Game Meats Company in May of 2024, after we had reported them to the Department of Agriculture for breaches, including slaughtering animals while conscious.

After trials in the Federal and Full Federal Court of Australia, we were granted leave to the High Court of Australia. In May this year, over a hundred of our supporters turned up for a historic hearing in Canberra.

Novel cases which are complex, such as ours, can take months for the High Court justices to rule on. The judgment in our 2022 High Court case, was delivered six months from the hearing date.

We could receive this ruling any day now. What happens next will have far reaching implications for the future of our work and public interest journalism more broadly.

No matter what, we will continue to fight for the public’s right to know what happens to animals.

Six pigs from high school agricultural program to be slaughtered in gas chamber 🐷

For the last several months, animal rights activists have been collecting signatures to save the pigs from Salesian College. Over 220 people from the local Sunbury community have signed the petition asking for the pigs to be surrendered or kept for the rest of their natural lives.

The college principal and board have been contacted, but have not yet communicated their decision about the fate of the pigs.

Farm Transparency Project was made aware of the pigs in June, when we were contacted by Matthew Fitzgerald, Head of Agriculture at Salesian College in Sunbury, seemingly by accident.

Matthew, who may have thought we were from the Benalla slaughterhouse, told us about six pigs, currently being raised in the agricultural learning area at the secondary school, who he wanted to be killed in late October.

👉 Comment ‘SAVE’ to be sent the link to sign the petition.
