Truth. Memory. Joy. Resistance: Black Expressions In New Mexico
On View: January 19th - February 28th
Location: Santa Fe Community Art Gallery
Guest Co-Curators: Jakia Fuller & Aaron Payne, @aaronpaynefineart

Tyrone Clemmons, also known as Faro, @faro.glyphix is a multidisciplinary artist whose illustrations and paintings explore the intersections of movement, history and vibration. Working across various mediums, Faro, draws deeply from the study of cymatics, using frequency, sound, and pattern as visual metaphors for the unseen forces that shape our world. We’re excited to have his works in Truth. Memory. Joy. Resistance: Black Expression In New Mexico, because Faro is sharing work that expresses his experience as a Black New Mexican Native. Through his art, Faro, charts a person and collective timeline - one that merges his lived experience with the broader realities of the world around us.
His goal is to create visual narratives that honor history, amplify hidden voices, and reflect the vibrations that connect us all. Audiences can experience Faro’s engaging and dynamic piece in the exhibition until February 28th.

I always type out a caption that explains my connection with my work. Then I delete it. And put an emoji 🎨
