POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Just finished adding the final touches to this new song. This is probably my favorite part of the writing process, when the foundation is laid out and you can start adding all kinds of crazy little things. Had some fun chopping up the vocals for a bridge here.

It’s ready for a final mix now. Hope to have this one and some more new songs out soon!

Part 2 of the songwriting process for this one.

Feeling good about where this one’s headed. Got the foundation and some lyrics I’m liking (which is usually the hardest part). Since it’s a slower song, working on adding some bigger dynamic shifts to keep it moving. Stoked to see where this one goes! #newmusic #indie #recording #guitar #synthpop taken in Santa Cruz, California by @farwestmusic

New songs usually start like this. Just a couple instruments and some lyrics, feeling out what the song needs as it comes together.

Letting you in early on the process with this one, definitely tapping into some of the emo bands that inspired me growing up.

Should I finish it?

A new take on an old song, “New You.”

Starting a new series where I strip back some of my songs. Gonna try to do more of these, so let me know what you’d wanna hear! 🎸 #indiepop #indie #acoustic taken in Santa Cruz, California by @farwestmusic
