Proud of the partnership via our film @backyarddesert @ckproductionsny of the El Otro Lado program, founded by @sanmiguelhs a powerful US/Mexico border immersion experience that invites students to encounter border life with compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to understanding.

Each year, San Miguel students and visiting schools from across the country come together to explore the realities of immigration through a Lasallian lens. Participants hear from Southern Arizona humanitarian leaders, visit a U.S. Border Patrol station, volunteer with bi-national faith-based organizations, clear migrant trails, and observe the legal processes that shape the lives of migrants and families.

This immersive journey challenges students to wrestle with diverse political, social, and theological perspectives—and ultimately inspires them to consider real, human-centered responses to the complexities of immigration. We’re proud to now welcome college groups as well, expanding the impact even further.
