THE OFF-DUTY EDITEVERYONE: “Dubai in July?! Are you mad?” ME: “Actually… hear me out.”Yes, it was 38-40°C (thanks to my FASHPACK app I knew the ‘feels like temp’ was 48°C some days. Yes, it was hot.But no, it wasn’t the unbearable experience everyone promised.Most days came with a breeze (which genuinely makes all the difference), the pools were gloriously warm, the beaches were blissfully quiet, and because everyone else had decided it was “too hot”, it felt like we had the place pretty much to ourselves.The only real downside? It was a little too warm to linger over dinner outside in the evening. A sacrifice I was willing to make for empty sunbeds and zero queues.I even had to wear a cashmere jumper whilst watching England in the World Cup semi final - Dubai air con is not playing around. So consider this my official defence of summer in Dubai! Book it - you won’t regret it. Also, a huge thank you to @atlantistheroyal for making another stay so incredibly memorable.
