I wear GASP because it’s tough as hell—and so am I. I want clothes that last, handle the punishment, and represent the values I live by: discipline, resilience, hard work, and earning every damn inch of progress. From weighing 305 pounds to winning the Men’s Open Heavyweight title at 46, I’ve built my journey on showing up when it’s hard. Being a GASP ambassador connects me with a community that understands that commitment—people putting in the work, supporting each other, and pushing to get better. That’s a community I’m proud to represent. Built to last. Just like the grind. 💪

Back and rear delts with my brother @s_baldwin____ 💪🔥 Putting in the work alongside someone who always brings positive energy makes every session better.

This brother’s encouragement goes well beyond the gym floor. From staying disciplined with my diet to pushing my training forward, he’s always reinforcing the work, reminding me how far I’ve come, and keeping me focused on where I’m headed. Appreciate you, brother—the support means more than you know. 👊

That’s part of what makes Los Campeones Round Rock special: serious training, great people, and a community that pushes you to improve. Proud to call this place home. The road to Nationals 2027 continues, one meal and one session at a time.

Champion legs are built one quality rep at a time.

My coach, @ed_brown_ifbb taught me that you don’t have to move the heaviest weight in the gym to build show-worthy legs. You have to make the muscle do the work: precise form, a deep, controlled stretch, and full ownership of every rep.

German volume training brings that lesson home. Ten sets of ten squats—100 total reps—with a lighter, manageable weight. Applying that same volume approach to RDLs, extensions, and leg curls makes “light” feel heavy as hell. The standard stays the same from the first rep to the last: control the movement and keep the tension where it belongs.

That’s the work behind the growth, the muscular endurance, and the legs I want to bring to the stage. Building size and shape in the offseason, then revealing that detail through conditioning.

Five titles this year. Still learning. Still building. Eyes on Nationals 2027. 🏆

Not a different man.
A different level.

2025 built the foundation.
2026 brought the refinement.

More detail. More density. More maturity. Better separation, fuller muscle, and a physique that shows what another full year of disciplined training, smarter execution, and relentless consistency can do.

This comparison is exactly why I trust the process—because progress doesn’t always scream, but side by side it damn sure speaks for itself.

From 2025 Over-40 Champion
to 2026 Open Heavyweight, Over-35, and Over-40 Champion.

Still building. Still improving. Still not finished.

DIFFERENT DIVISIONS. SAME GOAL. CHAMPIONS TRAIN HERE. 🏆🔥

Diana Tovar (@dyeldiana) is a damn force in the gym—a serious competitor who brings intensity, discipline, and purpose every time she trains. She’s one of the many champions and competitive athletes who call Los Campeones home, and I’m proud to share the floor with her.

We compete in different divisions, but we understand the same commitment: months of work for minutes onstage, then right back to building something better.

When the lights fade and the applause ends, we’re still here. Putting in the off-season work. Pushing toward the next goal. Surrounded by people who understand what it takes.

We train at @loscampeonesgymaustin because it’s the best gym in town. Exceptional equipment, outstanding staff, ownership that cares, and a community that makes you want to bring your best every day.

“Los Campeones” means “The Champions.” Spend some time on this gym floor, and you’ll understand why the name fits.

THE TROPHIES COME HOME. THE WORK CONTINUES HERE. 💪

OFF-SEASON TRAINING.

Back to baseline calories and finally getting some carbohydrates back into the system after 20 weeks of being depleted.

The difference in the gym is immediate — fuller muscles, better leverage, stronger contractions, and that deep pump you just can’t manufacture when you’re running on empty.

Right now the objective isn’t just moving heavier weight. It’s reconnecting with every rep. Slowing things down. Feeling the stretch. Owning the contraction. Re-establishing that mind-muscle connection and making every working set productive.

After months of prep, the off-season gives us something we haven’t had in a while: fuel. Now the job is to put it to work.

Recover. Eat. Train with intent. Grow.

The stage showed us what we built.
Now we go back to work building the next version.

Off-season officially underway.

A year can change a lot when the standard changes with it.

Same stage. Same pose. Same athlete. But the difference is in the details—the density, conditioning, balance, control, and the confidence that only comes from another year of doing the work.

2025 was proof that the transformation was real.
2026 was proof that I could build on it.

The trophies matter, but what means more to me is seeing the evolution in black and white: learning my physique, improving the presentation, tightening the weak points, and continuing to raise the bar.

No victory lap. Just evidence that the process is working.

Now it’s back to work.

Post-show doesn’t mean off-season complacency. It means the next phase starts now.

The stage showed me what we built. Now it’s time to recover, refuel, rebuild—and come back bigger, denser, and better.

After earning 1st Place Men’s Open Heavyweight, Over-35, and Over-40, the goal isn’t to maintain what I had. The goal is to improve it. More quality tissue. Better proportions. More detail. Same discipline—greater results.

The road to Nationals 2027 starts here.

From where I was… to where I stand now.

This journey was never about a quick fix. It was about rebuilding myself one decision, one meal, one workout, and one hard day at a time. There were setbacks, doubt, exhaustion, and plenty of moments when quitting would’ve been easier.

But I kept going.

What started as a mission to get healthy became something much bigger: a complete transformation in discipline, mindset, confidence, and purpose.

The man on the left started the journey.
The man on the right is proof of what years of consistency can create.

The man on the right is an open heavyweight bodybuilding champion, and I’m not finished.

If you’re working your way out of a place you never thought you’d escape, follow the journey. I’m documenting the training, nutrition, bodybuilding, setbacks, victories, and everything in between.

Same man. Higher standards.

2025 proved I could win.

2026 proved how much more there was to build.

A year of harder training, better execution, sharper posing, more muscle, and a completely different level of conditioning. The goal was never to simply come back and repeat what I had already done. It was to return improved enough that the difference was undeniable.

2025:
🏆 1st Place — Men’s Bodybuilding Over 40

2026:
🏆 1st Place — Men’s Open Heavyweight
🏆 1st Place — Men’s Bodybuilding Over 35
🏆 1st Place — Men’s Bodybuilding Over 40

Same stage. Same mission. Different athlete.

This is what another year of disciplined work looks like.

And now the standard gets raised again.

One year. Same stage. A completely different physique.

The 2025 version of me was bigger at 222.2 lbs, but after another full year of disciplined training, the 2026 version stepped onstage at 205 lbs with dramatically more detail, shape, and conditioning.

The improvement is especially obvious from the rear — more lat width and flare, greater separation through the upper and mid-back, sharper rear delts, tighter waist, deeper hamstring detail, more developed glutes, and noticeably better overall balance from shoulders to calves. This wasn’t simply about getting lighter. It was about building a better bodybuilding physique and then uncovering it.

A massive amount of credit goes to my coach, IFBB Pro Ed Brown, for directing the training, nutrition, adjustments, and overall progression that brought this version to the stage. Having an experienced eye guiding the process made a measurable difference.

And I cannot say enough about Los Campeones Round Rock. The environment matters. The people matter. And having access to the kind of specialized, superior bodybuilding equipment they have allowed us to attack muscles from angles and with movements that simply aren’t available in a typical commercial gym. That equipment became a major tool in bringing up the exact areas you can see improved here.

2025: 222.2 lbs — 1st Place Over 40
2026: 205 lbs — 1st Place Open Heavyweight, Over 35 & Over 40

Seventeen pounds lighter onstage — but substantially more complete.

That is what another year of intelligent training can do.

Los Campeones Round Rock is more than the place where I train — it has become a major part of this entire journey.

The equipment is second to none. The atmosphere is exactly what serious training should feel like. The employees care, the members push each other, and the culture is built around people who genuinely want to see one another succeed. There is a reason this place feels different the second you walk through the door.

A huge thank you to Tim and Matt for the ownership, vision, and standard they have created. You can buy great equipment, but you cannot manufacture a great culture. That comes from leadership, consistency, and surrounding the gym with the right people — and Los Campeones has all of it.

This year I walked onto that stage and became the Men’s Open Heavyweight Bodybuilding Champion, and a lot of the work that made that possible was done inside these walls, rep after rep, early morning after early morning.

Best people.
Best employees.
Best equipment.
Best ownership.
Best gym in town.

Thank you, Los Campeones Round Rock, for giving me a place to build, suffer, improve, and chase something bigger.

The work continues. Nationals 2027 is next.
