🏡 House Tour Pt. 1 🪐🏹

The Cupid to my Saturn.

This piece became so much more than I imagined.

The Saturn honors everything my Saturn Return taught me: breaking old patterns, recognizing cycles that no longer serve me, and choosing growth instead of familiarity.

The peace lily is for my nana. 🤍🌿

She had one at her funeral, and somehow I’ve managed to keep it alive ever since. Carrying it with me felt like the most beautiful way to honor her.

And then there’s the cherub.

Originally, he was supposed to shoot another tattoo.

Instead…

He’s aiming directly at my heart.

Maybe because love has always been my Achilles’ heel.

Or maybe because it’s always been my greatest strength.

Funny how changing one small detail completely changed the story.

Huge thank you to @kel.tattoos for taking my vision and making it even better than I imagined. 🎨

This is only the beginning.

✨ So basically… This is 31. 💙✨

Happy belated birthday to me. 🥳🎂

And yes… I’m making this post exactly one month later because I still deserve to celebrate. 😂

If there’s one thing worth honoring from this past year, it’s everything my Saturn Return has taught me. 🪐

Thirty wasn’t about having life figured out.. it was about finally beginning to understand myself.

Therapy taught me that growth isn’t just celebrating your strengths. It’s making peace with your flaws, recognizing where you’re still healing, and choosing to become a little softer, wiser, and more honest every day. 🤍🌱

Then there was Electric Forest. 🌲⚡

Every year, it somehow gives my soul exactly what it needs before I even know what I’m searching for. It reminded me that I can do hard things, that it’s okay not to have all the answers, and that trusting myself is enough.

It taught me to slow down… to breathe… to stay present… and to fiercely protect my peace. 🍃✨

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that my time and energy are sacred. I want to believe the best in everyone (and I always will) but kindness doesn’t require unlimited access to me. Not everyone is meant to receive every part of who I am, and that’s okay. 💙

I’ve also learned that optimism and discernment can exist together. Growth isn’t losing your heart…

It’s learning how to protect it. 🫶🏽

Looking back, I don’t think I’ve become someone different.

I’ve simply become more myself.

And I think that’s one of the greatest gifts growing older can give you.

Here’s to 31. 🥂✨

To choosing peace over perfection.

To protecting my energy.

To trusting myself.

And to continuing to build a life that feels deeply, authentically mine.

To everyone who’s loved me, supported me, and poured into me over the years…

Thank you. I love you more than you’ll ever know. 💙

Slides 3 & 4 are extra special to me because I carried my Nana and great grandma with me to graduation around my neck 🤍✨

There’s something about hearing Grandma Norma’s voice on Open Arms that always brings tears to my eyes. It reminds me so much of the things my great grandma would say to me growing up — the kind of love, wisdom, reassurance, and intentionality that stays with you forever.

And honestly, SZA always captures that feeling so beautifully, even on Garden (Say It Like Dat). I think so many Black families can relate to hearing someone pour belief into you before you even fully see it in yourself.

But just like that… graduation season is officially a wrap 🤍🎓

There’s absolutely no way I’d be here without the people who supported me, showed up for me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and loved me through every version of this journey.

To my family, friends, mentors, and everyone who helped carry me through this chapter — thank you. Truly.

I’m so excited for this next season of life and even more excited to see all of us continue stepping into everything we’ve worked and prayed for.

Not disappearing… just becoming. ✨

As a June Cancer, I’ve always been the type to think myself into a hole 🙃 replaying every situation, every possible outcome, making sure everyone around me was okay before ever checking in with myself.

For the first time in almost 30 years, I’m finally learning how to sit back and truly appreciate everything I’ve accomplished. I’ve celebrated along the way… but never fully allowed myself to live in the moment without overthinking it.

This season is different.

It’s about taking care of Darius the same way I pour into everyone else. Choosing peace. Choosing presence. Choosing joy without guilt.

I want this next chapter online to be rooted in authenticity, growth, freedom, and creating the kind of love and energy I want to see more of in the world.

So no… I’m not disappearing.
I’m evolving.
✨The light in me sees the light in you✨

And we’re about to break the internet again 😘
