It’s called The Great Cable Challenge and we’re going to do our part.
We all have one…. my dad did, and now I have one!! 🤦🏾‍♂️ I’m talking about a drawer of doom full of old and unused cables!

Millions of these cables either get forgotten or binned! But did you know these cables contain copper, which can be recycled to help create cool things like phones, gadgets, and even lifesaving hospital equipment!

Recycling the cables is easy! Simply bag up your old cables - and any other old, unwanted electricals - and head to @recycleyourelectricals_ website to find your local drop-off point.
I have to admit though, I did go down a bit of a rabbit hole completing this challenge, showing my kids all my old tech including Nokia phones and retro games consoles! Who’s up for a banging night of racing?!! 🚙💥🚗

Banger racing is definitely one for the boys, but great for families too!

My advice is to get there early and check out the pits.
Get up close to some of these crazy machines before they race wheel to wheel with each other, destroying themselves for your entertainment. But don’t spend too long in the pits. Get back early to get a good spot to witness all the action on the track, which goes late into the night.

And when the racing’s all done, head back to the pits to watch all your favourite cars limping back to their trailers.

This was only my second time banger racing, but we will definitely be back. Comment ‘banger racing’ and I’ll send you details of future events.

What a great start to our weekend 🥹 Leonie absolutely smashed her swimming academy trial today, and Devon moved up to Silver classes — we are SO proud! 🎉🏊‍♀️

🍜 Shoryu Ramen = our little Japan fix while bro’s living the dream there 🇯🇵

Missing Japan extra hard — especially with my bro @o.becreative and SIL @j.everywhereigo over there right now celebrating their 6-year anniversary! ✈️ Until we can go back, @shoryu_ramen is absolutely delivering.

What we ate:
🍼 The kids loved their kids’ ramen sets — complete with drink AND dessert, total winners!
🥒 Sliced cucumber, fluffy bao buns & crispy karaage chicken for the sides
🍛 Chelle went for the creamy katsu curry — perfection
🍜 I had the tweaked tonkotsu — rich, creamy, exactly the comfort I needed right now

Every bite hit different. Bro, enjoy every bowl over there for us too! 🫶

✨ THROWBACK: Our First Ever Camp Kindling 🔥

Still buzzing from our very first trip to Camp Kindling last weekend — what an absolute dream of a weekend! 🥹💛

🌞 By day: It was pure magic — we tried so many awesome activities: bee keeping, woodcrafting, stargazing, dune buggies, ariel bungee … every day was packed with fun, creativity and getting properly stuck into the outdoors!

🎉 By night: The whole place transforms — campfires, live music, parties, games, food stalls, and everyone coming together under the stars ✨ That evening vibe? Unbeatable.

🐿️ TEAM SQUIRRELS REPRESENT! 🐿️ We absolutely lived for the team system — joining Squirrels made the whole weekend feel extra special, and we loved seeing everyone in their team colours, cheering each other on! There are loads to pick from — each with their own vibe, traditions and little challenges 🦊🦉🦡
