I often wonder if you'll grow up to love, or at least, appreciate the desert as much as I do. To be honest, it wasn't until I spent some time away from home till I realized how much I loved it, Edward Abbey also helped stoke those flames with his writings. Ive always envisioned myself as a Thoreau, or a Muir, wanting to leave and live in the green of the woods. Maybe its because I grew up here, but there is something binding to my soul that make me long for Cacti, Sage, Juniper trees, and Creosote, Canyons, and Gullies, Red Rocks, and brightly moonlit Jun nights. Wherever I may go after I take my last breath, a part of my soul will always remain here, and the other part with you.

Every since I could remember, I've always been attracted to lonley places, I've always found a calm comfort in them. Truth is, lonely places make me feel less lonely, I think this is why its always been easy for me to hike and camp alone.
I've often struggled with finding my place amongst other people. I've always felt that I've carried an amount of conscious depth that is unrelatable, and unempathetic, ad nauseam. That feeling has always left me second guessing very much of myself, and especially my place amongst others, this is why it's so easy for me to disassociate myself from people, especially the ones I care for the most. Never really feeling like you have a place where you belong to is a hard cope, Nature has truly been my savior in this, more specifically the diversity of the desert. There no shortness of places to get lost, from the Canyons, to Hollows, from Mountain tops, to Creosote filled valleys. These places have always made a insignificance of ones mortal conscious turmoil, the wheels seem to spin slower when I'm there. Im sure there's some overused stoic quote I could excavate from some over red esoteric book. For now, I'll keep to my mountains and creosote valleys, I'll keep cozy within Canyon walls, and you can always find me happily hiding in the Hollows. by @fathernomad

This is the kind of harassment I wake up from @gary_doyle__ and @otter_raft_bushcraft by @fathernomad

Hammock camping? Is it worth all the hype? Now I can’t always do it given logistics, but it would be nice to get off the ground every once in a while. Who hear Hammack camps, let me know your thoughts. by @fathernomad

Hey everyone, lightning struck my home and I’ve been without internet since last Wednesday, but we have full power on now since late Friday. Orders are going out slow, since I have to manually transfer them to my machines instead of over WiFi, and I’m in a rush between completing those and getting things ready for Georgia Bushcraft. I appreciate your patience, and your support. by @fathernomad

For me, I either it be EDC, hiking, or Camping, a titanium canteen kit, and the Sawyer squeeze water filter, are just hard to beat.
