POV: First bite of egg had her questioning everything… 😭🥚
Wait for the plot twist 😂💜

Fatimah at 4 months of age was going through her sleep regression phase, and if there’s one thing I’m learning, it’s that sometimes babies just need a little more patience, comfort and consistency. 🤍🌙
Sleep regression can look different for every baby. For us, it has meant fighting naps, shorter naps, waking more often at night, wanting extra feeds and cuddles, and suddenly needing Mama a little more than usual. 🥹🥱

A few things that can make this phase a little easier:

💥White noise
It works wonders. Babies are used to constant sounds in the womb. White noise (apps, machines even a fan) mimics that and help them fall asleep faster.

✨Darkness is magic
Use blackout curtains even for daytime naps. Babies associate darkness with sleep.
✨ Keep a predictable routine
Try to keep wake-up, naps and bedtime around similar times each day.
☀️ Make daytime feel like daytime
Natural light, normal household sounds, playtime and plenty of interaction during the day can help babies learn the difference between day and night.
🌙 Make nighttime boring
When Fatimah wakes at night, I try to keep the room dark and interactions quiet and calm. No unnecessary stimulation.
🛁 Create a simple bedtime routine
A massage, bath or freshening up, changing into comfortable night clothes, feeding, burping, cuddles and a calm environment can become little signals that bedtime is coming.
🤱 Comfort is okay
Sometimes babies need more holding, rocking, nursing or cuddles during these phases. It doesn’t mean you’ve spoiled them. They’re going through a developmental phase and looking for reassurance.
😴 Watch sleepy cues - overtired babies are harder to settle.
🧸Wake windows - Babies can’t stay up long!
Sleep regression doesn’t mean you’ve done something wrong. It’s a phase, and babies don’t all move through it in the same way.
And most importantly, don’t expect perfection. Some nights will go beautifully and some nights will feel like absolutely nothing is working. 😂
So if you’re also awake at 2 AM wondering when your baby will sleep normally again… you’re definitely not alone. 🥲🤍
And Mama, remember:
this too shall pas by @fatimahslittleworld

When sleep regression decides to test both of us… 😨🫩Anyone else surviving sleep regression right now? 🙋‍♀️🤣

A little girl, a flock of birds and a whole lot of happiness! 🐦🥹🤍

At just 9 months old, Fatimah found magic in something as simple as watching birds fly. The excitement, the little claps, calling out to them… and that priceless annoyed face when they flew away! 😂

And the moment they came back? Happiness restored! ❤️

Sometimes, babies remind us that we don’t need big things to feel joy. We just need to notice the little wonders around us. ✨

May she always find reasons to be this excited about life. 🥹❤️

If only we could all see the world through a baby’s eyes!

A splash of pure magic, a little world of her own, and memories I wish I could keep forever. 🥹🤍💦

Dripping in innocence and drenched in happiness. ✨

To her, it’s just water, colourful balls, and a little playtime. But did you know that simple water activities can support a baby’s development? 🧠💗

💦 Why water play is beneficial for babies:

🖐🏻 Sensory development: Feeling the water, watching it move, and noticing splashes introduce babies to different textures, movements, and sensations.

👀 Hand-eye coordination: Reaching for, grabbing, and moving floating balls helps babies practise coordinating what they see with how they move their hands.

🧠 Curiosity and learning: Water play lets little ones explore cause and effect — what happens when they splash, push, or drop something into the water.

💪🏻 Fine motor skills: Grasping and releasing balls gives little hands opportunities to practise control and coordination.

😊 Enjoyment and exploration: Safe, supervised water play can be a wonderful opportunity for babies to explore at their own pace and enjoy a new experience.

Sometimes, the simplest activities create the sweetest memories. And one day, these tiny splashes will become the childhood moments I wish I could relive. 🥺❤️

💌 Save this idea for your baby’s next playtime, and share it with a parent looking for simple sensory play activities!

A little reminder: Always keep your baby within arm’s reach during water play. Babies can drown in very shallow water, even in a small tub. Never leave them unattended, even for a moment. 🤍

POV: You thought they were being difficult, but there’s an entire TED Talk happening inside that tiny little head. 😭😂

Next time your little one tests your patience, just imagine the random thoughts, imaginary conversations and adorable nonsense going on inside their brain. 🤣💜

Meanwhile, Fatimah is busy crawling around with 1000 thoughts and absolutely no way to explain them! 🥹😂

Be honest… have you ever wondered what goes on inside your baby’s little head? 😂👇

Tiny hands, big love for fruity goodness! 🍊🥹💜

There’s something so satisfying about watching little ones discover natural flavours, one bite at a time.

Mosambi is a little favourite in Fatimah’s fruit adventures, and we’re here for every messy, juicy bite! 😂

Introducing babies to a variety of fruits helps them explore different tastes, textures and food experiences as they grow. 🌱

Tell me, what’s your little one’s favourite fruit? 🍉🍌🍊

Ghar mein chhoti si gundi aa gayi hai, aur ab hukoomat bhi isi ki chalti hai! 🥷🏻😂💕

Hum bas do minute ke liye bahar kya nikalte hain, madam poore ghar ko apni awaaz se bata deti hain ki unki permission ke bina kahin jaana allowed nahi hai! 😭😂

Little boss, big emotions and absolutely zero freedom for Mumma and Dadda! 👑

Baby separation anxiety, dramatic baby reactions and funny parenting moments — motherhood and fatherhood come with their own little boss! 😂

Tell me, is your little one also the boss of your house? 👇🏻💕
