Seeing the cast of “The Last Of Us” along with Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin from a distance was pretty rad. I took this just after I left my spot. I had just seen Ashley Johnson go through the press line, stayed for a few minutes and I told my cousin Ethan “Let’s roll”. We were starving too!

I was jealous of people who made the cut and got to meet the cast but I’m sure this was the universe’s way of saying “For now, you’ll see them here, especially Pedro.”

Speaking of Pedro, I still can’t believe I got to see him with my own eyes. He’s really hot in person! I’ll meet him and take a selfie with him one day!

It rained hard but that wasn’t gonna stop me. I’m glad my cousin came through and joined me. It’s a good thing I texted him. (I do feel bad for making him stand in the rain but he was a good sport about it)

A 25 year dream has come true!

Hanson has been my favorite band since I was 12 years old. My ears were blessed in the summer of 1997 and my life was never the same. I collected almost every teen magazine by saving up my lunch money. I’d walk down to Ralph’s by my middle school after school and read the latest issue and I’d buy it. The cashiers would look at me like “This poor child” 😜 I really wanted to see them live. I also wanted to meet them.

Spring of 1998, my sister and I were on our way to Knott’s Berry Farm when we heard on the radio that Hanson were playing the Hollywood Bowl! I had to be there no matter what! I didn’t have a computer at the time so the only things I relied on was the Ticketmaster box office in the back of Robinsons-May at the Santa Anita Mall and the Classified section of the Los Angeles Times. The lady working the box office told me the day after I heard the announcement that Hanson’s show at the Hollywood Bowl was SOLD OUT. My teenage heart was BROKEN but I decided to not give up. I’m gonna see them no matter what.

July 12, 1998 was a Sunday. I didn’t join my mom to church but I woke up after she left so I can look at the Classified section to see if anyone was selling tickets to the Hollywood Bowl gig. I found one, called the person nervously, gave them my address (I know, I was stupid but I was so desperate) and I grabbed my wallet. An hour or so later, my sister and I mixed our money to pay the guy for two tickets. Anyway. The show was amazing. I screamed my 13 year old heart out.

I saw them again in 2004 when I was 19 and a girl almost spilled her beer on me (I could have been in trouble probably because I was not 21) while another called out her invisible friend. That was just a ploy for her to get to the front row. She didn’t get front row. Another looked at me like I offended her grandma when I told her nicely to watch out for her cell phone antenna (lol) because it was hurting me.

I got to see them again a third time and *FINALLY* meeting them! I entered a meet and greet on HNET and I was chosen! I finally told the brothers I’ve waited 25 YEARS and they were surprised. Especially Taylor. They still are amazing! taken in House of Blues Anaheim by @fatimaisabel___

Dolly was unapologetically herself. She was proud of her roots, spoke highly of people and she was just a great human being. It’s comforting to know that she’s with her love, Carl along with her parents and some of her siblings. We miss you Dolly. The world is less sparkly without you. 💔 by @fatimaisabel___

I had to make room by removing a certificate (I participated in a section of “The Blue Danube Waltz” launching into space) for my large “Behemoth!” poster. It’s most likely the same size as posters you see in movie theaters but hey, I love it. My certificate is on the other side of my wall. taken in Los Angeles County by @fatimaisabel___

The first and only time @blackveilbrides came to Arcadia (where I lived at the time) / Hot Topic Santa Anita. I did get to meet them and they were cool. Andy has striking blue eyes and when we made eye contact, I forgot what I was gonna say 🤣 Christian “CC” Coma gave me a high five! I’m pretty sure my high five was weak af. My nephew was a fan at the time and he managed to meet them at the nick of time since the signing was winding down. I’d ask him for my Andy shirt back but he either doesn’t have it and I’m certain it doesn’t fit me anymore 🙃 Can you believe I kept this for 15 years? 25 years ago tonight, I saw *NSYNC at the Rose Bowl! This is the only decent picture I have from that night. Taken right before the concert began! My older brother took me and he was surrounded by so many female fans. Some of my favorite memories:

-Seeing Samantha Mumba have a signing (I didn’t meet her but I did take a picture from her booth) She opened for the guys later on

-A girl winning front row tickets and the best part? It was her 18th birthday!

-Me screaming my heart out when they played “Space Cowboy”! Yes, I screamed / sang the words!

My 16 year old self was so happy! But I was worried the concert would end early because of the people living close to or in the surrounding areas would complain the concert would be too loud. Luckily, the concert did NOT end early. taken in Rose Bowl Stadium by @fatimaisabel___
