30 trips around the sun ☀️

Some years arrived like rain, softening the earth within me. Some broke me open, scattering old pieces into the wind. Some placed more in my hands than I ever knew to wish for.

I’m leaving my twenties grateful for every version of me that carried me here , especially the ones who kept going quietly.

But I know I didn’t get here alone.

To the friends who grew with me, the ones who stayed through different seasons, and the loved ones who held space for every version of me, thank you for making this life so much fuller. Some of my greatest blessings have never been things, but people around me 🤍

Thirty feels different.

Less performing. More living.
Less rushing. More trusting.
More time for the people who make life worth celebrating.

Here’s to growing gracefully and to everyone I’m lucky enough to have beside me while I do. ✨

Blessed birthday and another year wiser.
Not defined by my appearance, my mistakes, my weight, who stayed or who left, not by detours or disappointments, but by who I chose to be in the midst of it all.

I’ve learned that I won’t always be met with the same love I give, but I’ll keep choosing to give love anyway. Deeply, genuinely, and without conditions. I’ll keep showing up with kindness for my family and friends, holding space for others even when no one holds it for me.

I choose to walk through every mess and miracle with intelligence, beauty, and an unshakable hope. For who I am, and for the woman I am still growing into.

No matter how the story or my life turns,
I am not what happens to me.

I can’t believe she’s already 20 years old 🥹 over the years she grew up having such disabilities, but has been nothing but a sunshine, miracles, rizq to our family, especially for me. When she was 12 years old, doctors told us that people like her will usually live until 15 years old, but Allah is the most merciful. She’s still strong and joyful 🥰

Growing up with my sister has taught me more than being a human. To understand people with disabilities better, to fight for them and to advocate others. It is hard, no sugarcoating that, but they are human too. They deserve a normal life like others. I always wish the world would not treat them differently.

For parents who have been blessed with special kids, I know its hard and tough. But treat them as a blessing, after that, you can see how your perspective change and it will get better, I promise 🤍

For Aisyah, I know you are not able to communicate verbally with me but you know how I would cross the oceans, mountains for you. The love I have for you is like having a daughter I never had. Gosh. Emotional.
