last weekend, my best friend from university and I stayed in another weird and whimsical structure. both the phoenix earthship and quetzalcoatl nest were designed to minimize environmental impact and favor organic forms over 90° angles (this one is shaped like the winged serpent deity). i enjoyed getting-to-know his savvy girlfriend and two well-rounded, new friends; we bonded to an extraordinary degree in just a short while! wish us all more laughter-filled weekends of savoring present pleasures and discussing future wonders together. #cdmx #abgt600 #princeofflowers #soiseeyouhavelegs #aliensarehere taken in Nido De Quetzalcoatl by @faustofearth

@sid.henderson.art did such an astonishing job creating this homoerotic Greco-Roman pottery that I want to share it widely! (I felt compelled to check Instagram’s terms of service before posting risqué artwork — no problem here.)

Cheers to the happy couple for bringing us all together for this destination wedding in the coastal jungle! I especially treasured my 1:1 rainy nighttime bike rides with the groom, and befriending the very cool people in your circles. I’m excited for your future, our future, and more international trips together.

It’s challenging to imagine a warmer reception for a guy with a face tattoo (henna is traditionally worn by women, but why should they have all the fun?). Due to its exotic venues and themed parties, hot weather and equally hot guys (a blend of dear friends and intriguing strangers, without the filler acquaintances one feels compelled to briefly greet), San Diego Pride continues to be my favorite Pride celebration in the USA! I was so present-in-the-moment enjoying myself that I didn’t take any pics during the weekend’s festivities… these shots are a couple of the highlights from the following week.

I’m blissed out, still acclimating to being home. While I’m glad to resume my healthful routine, I shall miss carefreely galavanting with friends, swimming in the sunshine, exploring the desert biome, renting a house with a home theater for the first time, and savoring slice-after-slice-after-slice-after-slice of Erewhon’s pumpkin pie!

We had a restorative time in Oregon (away from the riots in nearby Portland). 10 days in a 10-bedroom house provided plenty of room to spread out (when we needed alone time or to work) and a variety of spaces to play in together. I’m enjoying an uplifting afterglow as we drive home.

Some of the highlights included dinner parties, late nights, workouts, hikes, two simultaneous meteor showers, the massive shower, the comfy hot tub, and even comfier beds!

Me: “This is the most tap water I’ve drank in years.”
Nic: “How does it feel?”
Me: “I feel like a man of the people.”
Ty: “You’re practically camping!”
