There’s a moment in life where the universe brings you someone. Not just anyone. Someone who truly touches your heart. Fourteen years ago, I received that someone into my life. With him, I received so much knowledge, love, and light.
When I couldn’t bare another second, I remembered his patience. When I wondered if I was just too odd, I remembered his individuality and uniqueness. When I wondered if I was worth loving, I remembered his deep and unconditional love. When everything felt like nothing and nothing meant enough, I remembered him. I remembered everything about him. His focused brown eyes. His frosted snout. His one bent ear. His playfulness. His loyalty. I remembered his light..and it illuminated my life. His light burns with so much love and passion, and I’m blessed to see how many lives he touched and how many got to stand in his light.
Today I didn’t say goodbye. Because he’s not gone. He’s in every moment of calm, of understanding, of peace, and of love. His light will forever shine through the universe and through all of us. I’ll see him in the rays of sunshine. In the petals of sunflowers. In the grains of sandy beaches. In the glow of the moon. I’ll see him in every “it’ll be ok” and in every “I love you”.
Blackie was laid to rest today, but his spirit will forever live on. From my loyal companion, to my guardian angel. May your spirit fly high and may your light reach us all. To my perfect angel baby who could do no wrong ever, te amo mi negro bello. by @favilalax3
