I really took time away in the morning from social media to enjoy a the birthday and enjoy the people singing, laughing, praying, and celebrating me. Forty Free🔥The last year was rough😡😠😭🔥#%*#%^* actually, the last three years😩Baby... they've been a whole tornado. But have you ever heard those stories where people dig through the rubble after a storm or fire and somehow the only thing left untouched is a Bible? This season showed me it wasn't just the Bible that remained; it was God Himself. He has shown Himself strong in every area of my life, and I absolutely did not deserve it. This year uncovered some tough truths about me. Whew... that was a huge pill to swallow. But I put on my big girl pants because if I want the next level, I have to let God deal with me first. Submission is funny like that. God will have you doing things that make people think you've lost your mind, only for you to look back and see He was working everything together for your good. Imagine God pulling the plug on every distraction and saying, "I just want you." And when you don't listen... He shuts everything down suddenly. I remember someone saying, "All these things you write about, Why didn't you call me? Why didn't you text me?" Two reasons: I've heard the conversations. They always make their way back to me, and I'm not volunteering my process for public discussion. God didn't lead me that way. There was a time I was going through something really challenging, and the Lord told me to come before Him for 3 hours, I think I was about an hour and a half in and he dropped a name in my spirit, and told me to text this person I had just met about two weeks earlier. That simple act of obedience, unlocked a multitude of things. A complete stranger I know nothing about, who has no past with me Let me down a road of ease.
I was terrified because of trauma.
3.People scare me. Some people can't hold water and cover your nakedness. I will not cast my pearls… A lot of what I survived was hidden in plain sight because God wanted to be God all by Himself. by @favourkabia

What do I say that I haven’t already? 😭

We started this school journey in January 2011, and today my baby is graduating. 🎓❤️

This road wasn’t easy. I lost jobs, struggled, and navigated parenthood alone. But God made a way every single time. And while I was a single parent, I was never by myself. My village showed up—babysitting, picking up, feeding, clothing, praying, and loving on us. What didn’t they do?

I was judged, talked about, and looked down on because I wasn’t married and because people didn’t understand the sacrifices that come with raising a child. Being the first one with a kid meant everyone had opinions—until they became parents themselves.they began to understand the sacrifices, the exhaustion, the balancing act, and the weight of raising a child.

But God.

Sinmisola is stronger and more efficient than most adults I know. During COVID, she held me down. She has faced things that would’ve broken many adults, yet she kept going.

People say I spoiled her. Maybe I did. 😂 She deserved it.

She’s a child worth celebrating, even on the days I wanted to square up with her. 🤣 She’s a gem.

What many don’t know is that she battled silent challenges along the way. But God healed, restored, and proved faithful over and over again.

Today, I don’t just see a graduate.I see grace. I see answered prayers. I see God’s faithfulness.I see resilience. I see healing. I see a young woman who refused to quit.

To my village, thank you. To God, all the glory. And to my baby girl, thank you for making every sacrifice worth it.

Thank you for growing through every challenge. Thank you for being my biggest blessing and one of my greatest teachers.

It’s June and, if you haven’t heard, WE... I mean SHE is graduating! 🤣🎓

The best birthday gift so far is hitting this milestone.

God is faithful!!!! Nothing will spoil in Jesus’ name. Amen. 🙏🏾

And can we talk about how she jumped in my video? That’s nobody but God because this girl does not like taking pictures or making videos with me. 😂 Let’s see if I can squeeze a few more TikToks out of her before graduation.

Anywho…

May the favor of God speak for you this month. Where they counted you out, may God place your name in the heart of the decision maker and cause an OVERTURN in your favor. 🙌🏾

May anything or anyone that needs to move (unseated)so you can take your rightful seat, move by the power of God.

There was a time I was praying for a job, and I asked God to unseat anyone unlawfully sitting in my seat. Guess what happened? The day I went for the interview, the woman holding the position didn’t come to work, and the CEO had enough he asked me to start that same day. No background check, no nothing just get to work.🤣

When Sinmi was 3 months old, she developed a fever. After two days, I took her to the ER.
Once we got there, everything changed. Nurses were running up and down the hall, and before I knew it, my baby was being airlifted to Children's Hospital and admitted to the PICU.
The doctors told me she had pneumonia and an extremely large abscess in her right lung. They were worried about sepsis and other complications.
They immediately recommended surgery and I said NO.
Everybody told me to do it. Matter of fact, Money told me I was "f***ing crazy, but do what you feel." 🤣
I didn't have peace about it.
So when the doctor came back, I asked, "What are the other options?"
He explained a PICC line, antibiotics, monitoring, and rehab for about two months. Truth be told, I didn't know what half of that meant. I just knew they weren't cutting up my 3-month-old.

It was one week before my 25th birthday. I had plans to TURN UP. Instead, we were headed to Bunker Hill Road for a two-month hospital stay.

Those nurses at the rehab were AMAZING. THE BEST! They'd make me go home and rest, and every time I came back, my baby was loved on and cared for. That's why I don't play about healthcare workers and educators.

After two months, we were discharged.
The doctors prepared me for follow-up appointments that would likely still show signs of damage.

First appointment: nothing.

Second appointment: nothing.

Third appointment: not even the smell of smoke.

As if nothing had ever happened.
Now here's the part y'all don't know...

Before Sinmi, I was told carrying a child would be extremely challenging. She came after one of the hardest seasons of my life and after 8 deaths in my family.

But God.

Sinmi is my 🌈 baby. The promise after the storm. The child that declared barrenness is NOTTTTT my portion.

Today, she has no lingering effects. None.
Oh, and the kid can SANGGGGGGG too. 🎤😂

So when you hear me hollering, "Savior, Savior, My Savior, He will not fail me," just know I'm not singing because somebody told me He could.

Anytime I get the opportunity to minister, you will always hear me call my Savior “The Lily of the Valley.”The phrase is one of the beautiful names used for Jesus in the Bible (Song of Solomon 2:1), symbolizing His purity, humility, and divine fragrance in the lives of believers. Just as the lily of the valley flower is highly sought after for its fresh, delicate, and sweet floral aroma often used in the finest perfumes so is the presence of Jesus refreshing, rare, and deeply treasured. I always see a vision of a valley full of greenery, and suddenly, this delicate bell-shaped flower begins to grow boldly and almost aggressively from a low place, REFUSING TO BE HIDDEN.
In the same way, Jesus meets us in our lowest valleys and reveals His beauty and power.

If you ever find yourself in that valley, looking left and right and seeing no help, remember the Lily of the Valley and trust that He is already there, growing, covering, and sustaining you with His unfailing love.
