OpenAI just launched Dots, an AI agent that keeps working for you all day.

On its own computer, even when you close the ChatGPT app.

Normally, you type a prompt into ChatGPT and you get an answer.

Then ChatGPT stops. But Dots keeps going.

You give it a goal and it keeps working until it's done.

Each Dot gets its own computer in the cloud.

And it can connect to over 4,000 apps.

So it can work inside the apps you already use.

Some of the examples OpenAI showed include spotting an invoice you forgot to send and drafting it for you to approve.

It sees someone report a bug in Slack, starts looking into it on its own, and fixes it if it has the right permission.

You can give it tasks in ChatGPT, in Slack, or hop on a voice call with it.

And the more feedback you give it, the more it learns how you like things done.

The catch is that it's only on the expensive plans for now: Pro, Business Premium and Enterprise.

Even though Dots might not be available to you, there are other AI agents you can build with and start using.

Progress does not always look the way we think.

Sometimes, we don’t need to add more things. We just need to remove.

Maybe as we enter into 2026, rather than adding new habits or goals, we first eliminate the jobs, relationships, habits that no longer serve us.

Progress is not always additive, sometimes, it’s subtractive.

I’ve wanted to create video content for a long time.

Bought lights, a mic, gimbal, stands….yet there was always one excuse.

I had to face the truth….that I was scared.

It’s easier to stay in planning mode forever, because there’s no way you can fail.

But when you start, failure becomes a very real possibility.

I guess the question is, do you care more about succeeding at something, than about doing it?

If you care too much about success, you will never start.

But if you learn to fall in love with the process, you will never lose.

So…just start.

That’s my lesson for myself, and maybe for you too.
