✨Celebrating 3 Years of Bliss and Adventures ✨

Three years of love and laughter, exploring the world and chasing dreams together. From navigating split-wise bills to discovering happiness in the simplest moments, we've grown and learned so much. Through ups and downs, we've built a beautiful understanding - a connection that's taken us to different places in ten countries together, random dates and countless conversations. Three incredible years where finding personal time off has never been a challenge. While you immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the Himalayas, seeking your own path of self-discovery, I'm eagerly preparing to embark on my own adventure this week. Together, we embrace the beauty of independence within our love, supporting each other's individual growth🫂

WE DID IT. 🥹❤️

DKMS officials have confirmed that this is the biggest campaign they have ever organised. Across all DKMS entities worldwide, this is the largest offline stem cell donor registration drive to date.

So proud of everyone who worked tirelessly behind this cause. What a magical example of teamwork, humanity and what we can achieve when we come together for something bigger than ourselves. What a beautiful world to live in. ❤️

To every single person who showed up, registered and became part of this movement ,THANK YOU. You may never know what this means to someone waiting for a match, but you have given us something priceless: hope.

Fawaz said he didn’t want any celebrations this year. He said last year’s birthday had given him more than enough reassurance, and somehow, everything he’d wished for then, he already had. He said he’d be happier if someone did some charity in his name than if I spent money on gifts.

But I couldn’t let his birthday just pass.

I was sure I’d be in hospital on his birthday. I’d already bought gifts,written a letter where I poured my heart out, &respecting his wish,found a way to do something charitable in his name.

I never imagined I’d actually be home.Sometimes days like this remind me that God does show me mercy.

It wasn’t a perfect birthday, perhaps.I couldn’t wish him at midnight because I was exhausted,in pain,&had fallen asleep. Somehow, half-asleep,I saw midnight had passed,woke up, wished him, told him about the donation I’d made in his name, &he was happy to hear it.He looked more sleepy than happy, so we both went straight back to sleep. 😂

By morning, Umma had made his favourite breakfast ;pathiri, chicken curry, beef fry and the aleesa he’d been wanting for ages.She made it with all her love.We laid out breakfast, wrapped his gifts, printed the letter,&waited for him to wake up to his birthday surprise. It was just me, Vappa, Umma and him.Yet it felt complete.

Fawaz was happy. He ate breakfast without thinking about calories, then opened his gifts.

He said, “I told you not to celebrate this year.”
I asked, “Did you like it?”
“I did.”
“Did you dislike any of the gifts?”
He smiled and said everything I’d bought was already on his list to buy.
“And does it make you happy?”
“A lot.”
And that was all I needed.

Because that’s what matters to me.
I told him, “I am never, ever going to stop celebrating you.Especially the day you were born. Because I am fucking grateful that you did.”

He just nodded like the sweetest little kid,with that smile I could never get tired of seeing.

Maybe this wasn’t the birthday we imagined. But after everything, waking up at home, sitting around a table with the people we love, eating Umma’s food, laughing, exchanging gifts and simply having him here with me…It felt like enough. 🤍 by @fawaaez
