I’ve got a new poem in @poetryfoundation —“Filling Up At Love’s.”

A few years ago, I lived in my car for several months, traveling from Vegas to San Diego to Austin to Chicago. Being queer, Black, and femme on the road has taught me a ton about life—but there’s something about the Southwest. I found myself grateful for the luxury of a vehicle and my citizenship, realizing just how many we lose to the dark and wild out there in the desert. #poetry taken in Chicago, Illinois by @faylitahicks
