There is such a profound connection when creating Art for someone and so this way I feel that it is important to be selective and purposeful when agreeing to create an Artwork for a client.
The energy has to be right in order to capture the essence.
I much rather politely decline then to force something that I feel doesn’t resonated with my heArt,
Art cannot be rushed or forced.
Much like Love , it just has to flow naturally 🤍✨ 🎨
-
This Artwork specifically, was such a pleasure to create as it was made for a woman that I truly look up to.
She is like a beam of light and such an inspiration.
A true boss lady with a heart of Gold.
Thank you Dee for your trust in me @dee_agingu ✨🤍🙏

Creating this collection was an expansive and deeply meaningful experience.
Roses have lived in my practice for over 15 years, but their roots go back much further..
to my early childhood days spent beside my grandmother, the one who taught me how to draw.
We drew flowers together, tended the garden, cooked fish, made soup…
simple rituals that became the foundation of my creative life.
Roses were her favorite, and through her, they became mine.

So when a client requests roses, something inside me awakens.
It feels instinctive.. ancestral.
As the spiral begins to form beneath my palette knives,
my hands move before thought.
I become one with the canvas.
The roses bloom on their own time, as if I am simply guiding
what already wants to exist.

This collection carries that lineage:
a thread that connects memory, devotion, geometry, and the divine.
It is one of the greatest joys of my practice,
to create roses that feel alive, textured, infinite.

I may not be here forever,
but they will.
And perhaps, one day,
a garden of roses will stand as part of my legacy.

Ten years. One cause close to my heart.

This year marks my tenth consecutive participation in the Sotheby’s event at The Shore Club, Turks and Caicos, in support of the Youth Center @ecgyouthcentre a cause that has remained deeply woven into my journey.
I am honored to continue contributing through my work.

Four exclusive pieces will be available for private acquisition, alongside one special work offered through the Sotheby’s auction, with all proceeds donated to the Youth Center.

With only five days remaining before the night, I look forward to gathering once again with collectors, patrons, and friends in celebration of Art, Community, and Giving back.

Although each year has been truly meaningful, I am particularly looking forward with excitement to this year’s event.
Hopefully see you there 🙏✨

Married to Art 🎨

I didn’t just choose Art… I committed to it.

Through every high, every lows, every quiet moment when no one was watching,
I stayed. . I chose to persevere. I believed.

This was never an option. This isn’t a phase or a hobby.

This is a lifelong vow & I am so grateful I’ve made it this far. ✨🙏

Married to my Art.

“One wave at a time.” 🌊

I’m incredibly honored to have contributed my piece
“Wave of Change”
in support of Ashley’s Learning Center, @ashleyslearningcenter
an organization doing such meaningful work for children and families in our community.

This piece was created as a reflection of something I deeply believe…
that even the smallest action can grow into something powerful.
A drop becomes a ripple, and a ripple becomes a wave.

Seeing this work become part of something greater,
supporting a space where children are nurtured,
understood, and given the opportunity to thrive means more than I can put into words.

Art, to me, is a channel…
for change, for connection, for awareness, for community.

I am so grateful for the invite,
for all of the contributors who support the cause &
of course, I must give thanks to the
Collector who acquired my work at the silent auction.
Through your support, my heART is able to make a positive change.

🙏✨🤍🥹

This special commission tells the story of rescue, resilience, and love through the eyes of Potcakes.
🐕🌴🌺❤️‍🔥🐕
The soulful strays of Turks & Caicos who carry both scars and incredible strength.
To truly know a Potcake is to know a Love that comes from a once broken heart..
cautious at first, but boundless once they trust you.
Their journey from survival to loyalty is one I know well, and it was an honor to translate that into art.

Not all stories are meant for words, some are meant for color, texture, and soul.
Art can speak it beautifully.
If yours if one of them, feel free to contact me, I’d be honored to help bring it to life on canvas. ✨🤍🎨👩‍🎨

Another beautiful evening celebrating Art, Charity, and Community in support of the ECG Youth Centre. @ecgyouthcentre
My heArt is full of gratitude.
For the organizer and sponsors @turksandcaicossir who made the night possible, for the friends who continually show up with love and support, and for my collectors, whose belief in my work allows me to keep creating and giving back in meaningful ways. 🩵

Contributing to the future of the Turks and Caicos Islands and its youth is a privilege I hold close.
Knowing that my heArt can play even a small part in making a difference is deeply humbling, and it inspires me to dream even bigger for the year ahead.

The final slide features my Artwork 🖼️
•Bloom with the Current,
now resting in its forever home.
I’m always touched when collectors share images of my work living in their spaces.
There’s something deeply special about knowing the piece now lives where it will be cherished every day.

Special thanks to my friend and talented photographer who saved the night with his photography gifts.
