There are moments life gives you as a gift, moments so full, so quiet, so perfect, that time seems to hold its breath.

This was one of them. Some things you know before you have the words for them. He was one of those things. I always felt it in my bones, in my quiet moments, in the way my soul recognized his. But even with all that knowing, he still managed to take my breath away completely. He gave me a moment even my wildest dreams hadn’t dared to imagine.

You looked at me the way you always do, like I am both the destination and the journey. And in that moment, the whole world narrowed down to just us.

I used to wonder what it feels like to be truly chosen. To be seen, not the version you perform, but the version you are when no one is watching.

With you, I know.

Love, I’ve learned, is not a feeling that arrives and stays still. It deepens, it grows roots and it becomes the ground beneath you.

And this, this is us, choosing each other again. Not for the first time, and not for the last.

Two souls who found their way to each other, through distance, through growth, through all the becoming we had to do before we were ready for this.

I am so grateful for the woman I had to become to deserve a love this steady, this real, this deeply mine.
