FBI Honolulu and our partners are enforcing FAA Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) around Kailua-Kona on the Big Island during the @ironmantri World Championship on October 10, 2026.

Before flying your drone, always check airspace restrictions using the FAA’s B4UFLY app or visit tfr.faa.gov. Violating a TFR can result in criminal fines up to $100,000, up to a year in prison, and seizure of your drone.

Please stay aware of your surroundings and report suspicious or unsafe drone activity by calling 9-1-1.

Sexual exploitation actors continue to target adult and underage victims by illegally accessing their social media accounts to steal their explicit content and post it for sale on criminal marketplaces.

Key tips to protect yourself:
▶️ Avoid storing sensitive images or videos on social media platforms.
▶️ Use unique passphrases and multi-factor authentication and avoid using password information that is directly associated with your identity.
▶️ Be cautious with embedded links in emails and texts—verify sender and purpose before clicking—and treat unrequested temporary passwords, PIN resets, or access codes as suspicious.

🚨News Alert: Maui Man Admits to Mailing Packages of Methamphetamine and Cocaine from California to Maui

HONOLULU – Isaiah Okudara, 39, of Maui, pled guilty to one count of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine. According to court records, Okudara admitted to mailing 8.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and 6 kilograms of cocaine from San Diego, California to Kahului, Hawaii, in February 2025, which he intended to distribute to others.

Okudara faces at least 10 years and up to life in prison and a fine of up to $10,000,000. Sentencing is scheduled for February 2027.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), the Department of Justice’s nationwide initiative that brings federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement, prosecutors, and other public safety partners together to coordinate efforts to combat violent crime and make communities safe. 🚨News Alert: Kailua Fentanyl Dealer Sentenced to 70 Months in Prison

HONOLULU – Vaughn Ludwig, 50, of Kailua, Hawaii, was sentenced to 70 months in prison and 4 years of supervised release for conspiring to distribute fentanyl in Hawaii. Court records show Ludwig was responsible for approximately 1.5 kg of fentanyl and over 20 g of heroin and distributed drugs from a Waikiki hotel prior to his arrest in May 2025.

In a separate case related to the same drug trafficking conspiracy, Louis Deguair was sentenced in July 2026 to 37 months in prison and 5 years of supervised release, and Charles Patrick Saikley has pled guilty and is awaiting sentencing. The FBI’s Recovery Asset Team (RAT) has denied more than $1 Billion in attempted theft since January 2025 (+16% over a comparable period in 2023-2024).

Our RAT team streamlines communications with financial institutions and #FBI field offices to help freeze funds for fraud victims.

If you discover a fraudulent transfer, time is of the essence. Immediately contact your financial institution and request a recall of the funds along with any necessary indemnification documents.

File a complaint at www.IC3.gov, and include transaction information. We may be able to assist both the financial institutions and law enforcement in freezing funds. Since January 2025, the FBI's Asset Recovery Team has prevented over $1 billion in attempted thefts, marking a 16% increase from 2023-2024. by @fbihonolulu
