Parents: Commitment gets tested when following Jesus costs approval. Start with the pressure they feel, then ask what faithfulness looks like right there. Remind your athlete that being chosen by Jesus matters more than being chosen by the crowd.

This is what commitment looks like in real life: sometimes it costs you comfort, popularity, or “fitting in.” Jesus didn’t hide it. He said following Him would put us at odds with the world.

Athletes: Where do you feel pressure to blend in to belong?

Coaches and parents: Where are you tempted to keep faith private so it doesn’t feel risky?

Big plays start with little things.

Showing up, working hard, being a good teammate, and doing the right thing when nobody’s watching. That’s faithfulness.

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” Luke 16:10

This week’s challenge: Do the little things right.

Following Jesus doesn’t guarantee an easy life.
But it guarantees a faithful Savior.

Yes—the cost is great.
But committing to Jesus from the beginning and watching Him move in your heart and life is greater.

This quarter, let’s choose endurance. Let’s choose faithfulness. Let’s choose Jesus.

There are moments when following Jesus feels costly:
you might be left out
you might be made fun of
you might be tempted to compromise
you might feel rejection
you might wonder if it would be easier to just blend in

These are the moments commitment becomes real.
This quarter, we’re not committing to comfort.
We’re committing to Christ because He’s worth it, and He’s with us in it.

What’s one pressure point you’re facing right now? Bring it to Jesus today...don’t carry it alone.

Starting is easy. Staying is harder.
A lot of us begin our relationship with God with energy and excitement, but our true beliefs and commitment get revealed when life gets tough.
This quarter is about staying committed:
when you feel left out, misunderstood, tempted, rejected, or like you don’t belong.
In the hard moments, Jesus doesn’t back away, He meets us there.
