We are rebooting and rethinking our approach to F+C Group. Too many wash, rinse, repeats that led us to half-baked projects; trendy, but not sustainable chases; and just plain laziness. So, we are rethinking, recalibrating, rebooting our company. We could have removed the previous content and start fresh. That would be counterproductive and not let see and remind us of the past, the tried and failed, the WTH, etc. Moving forward, we think we know where we are going and hopefully you join us on the journey. Stay tuned as the highlights give you a hint of where we are going with F+C Group aka FCG.

There has been a lot of movement in the recent weeks about student-athletes, names, images, likenesses (aka NIL), abilities, and the right to profit. In the upcoming months, a few states starting with Florida will grant student-athletes the right to profit from their NIL. The federal has a bill introduced that would address the issue and give student-athletes the right to unionize. The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) will rule in favor for or against the student-athletes. In the background, you have schools and companies developing plans on helping student-athletes with the marketing and profitting of their NIL.

What about the basics to helping any student-athlete regardless of the division, sport, program, gender, identity, etc? It is one thing to show student-athletes the marketing opportunities and potential payouts. The question is why not have a platform that gives student-athletes access to resources to start and build their business the right way. The following post provides a prototype of a platform that could serve as a one-stop shop for any student-athlete to go and learn the basics to creating that business that could grow from one’s NIL and ability. We have been working on a rough concept (and we mean ‘rough’) of a registry for student-athletes. Think of this registry as a place where student-athletes can store their NIL activities, but have access to a growing library of resources to help with the administrative aspects of their business (e.g. how to create a LLC, Money management, etc.). It is a work in progress, but something that might get your interest.
