**OUT TODAY** KNEES UP AMONGST THE RUINS

Debut NCP long player via the Crocodile Collective label on Bandcamp, with cassettes following later.

Recorded at Bark Studio in Walthamstow, East London with additional production by Brian O’Shaughnessy (known for My Bloody Valentine and Lawrence Felt / Denim / Go Kart Mozart). The album also features additional vocals by Adeleye Omotayo (Gorillaz, Amy Winehouse) and Charlotte Marionneau (Le Volume Courbe, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds), as well as woodwind by Chris Cundy (Timber Timbre, Cold Specks), piano by Thomas Greene (Cold Specks), and additional rave synths by The Man from Powys.

The album features ten tracks, including current single ‘The Pressure Of Life (Triggers My Anxiety)’, and sees the Kidd siblings deliver songs, vignettes, stories and letters to family friends and workers around the world. They open up about mental health, class struggle and poverty - an offer of a shoulder to lean on and a family to stand together against the impending billionaire apocalypse.

NEW COMMERCIAL PRODUCT (NCP) is the new musical project led by brothers Finn and Toby Kidd, best known for Hatcham Social and their collaborations and instigations with the likes of Tim Burgess, Klaxons, and Douglas Hart.

What are Loud & Quiet’s Essential albums announced this week? KNEES UP AMONGST THE RUINS alongside new releases by @kinggizzard , @gillaband , @andybebop & Masal.

‘an eery slice of very English (and paranoid) psychedelia. ‘

It’s pretty bonkers when you are reading Loud & Quiet weekly while quietly getting on with your morning shit shower and shave (all at once yes as one should to save on the insurgent water crisis) when you see these words shining like a beacon from the laptop screen – thanks Loud & Quiet for this. by @fckncp
