Go to God with your questions. But also remind yourself of His goodness. And if you’re struggling to do that then consider what you are already grateful for. Read His word. Meditate on His promises. Rest in His faithfulness and the testimonies of His love. He is good, and He will not leave you nor forsake you.

It’s time to learn who you really are, and the way to do that is to find out what God says about you.

Ask Him.

Find out what the word of God says.

Have you ever been told to just keep having faith or keep trusting God while you’re already struggling to do so?

And does that make you feel helpless and distant from God?

I remember feeling so flat and deflated, and also guilty because of the back and forth happening inside my heart and mind.

I didn’t want to be swaying with my moods and thoughts and circumstances anymore. I wanted firm faith. Strong, unwavering faith. Faith that keeps me free.

What started off as my own study on faith led to the creation of this PDF which I am releasing today.

In seasons where my faith felt about as brittle as a sheet of seaweed, these were a few things that strengthened me:

✨1. Facing the crossroad head on

You reach a point where you have to decide, am I going to believe God and think, speak, and act like His word is true, or not?

For me, that meant I had to release control and humble myself, which leads me to number 2:

✨2. Repenting

I wasn’t speaking and acting like someone who believes His word, or trusts Him. I would complain and sit in my struggle as if His word didn’t say in Proverbs 3:5 to trust in the Lord and to lean not on my own understanding.

Which leads to my next revelation:

✨3. Understanding Him

I’m not called to lean on what I know, but Who I know. Fixing my gaze upon Him, meditating on Him, going into His word and asking myself “Lord, what do You say about this? What do You say about what I should do here?” changed everything.

Weariness and burden were no longer my condition, but became more like that guy in the middle of a shopping centre handing out little satchels of organic hand lotion from the Himalayas. He might try to stop me on my path, but all I’ve gotta say is ‘no’ and move on.

When you understand who He really is, it might not immediately change your circumstances, but boy, will you be able to handle them a whole lot different.

I hope this helps you as it has helped me. I’m working on a little something at the moment that teaches how to fortify your faith by understanding God.
